  Being interviewed by police tomorrow

  well tomorrow is a big day for me.

  i'm finally going to be interviewed by the police about what happened to me as a kid.. im running the whole gamut of emotions at the moment.

  sad, anxious, angry, guilt, fear and many more that cannot be quantified.. i feel physically sick, cannot sleep, have lost my appetite and i am desperately trying not to self harm.. i've got my sister to thank for getting this far.

  went to a market yesterday and there it was a cart manned by a middle-aged women and a young one.

  in a really respectful, friendly manner i approached them and enquired if watchtower society had done anything about its "two witness policy" post royal commission.

  knew nothing of 2 witness rule.

  Hi possum..I too had a trolley/cart conversation a couple of days ago. I approached the subject of the gb member (Jackson ) at the Australian enquiry into child abuse issues, the 'brother' denied all knowledge of it. My point was concerning his statement (jackson) that it would be presumptuous of him to claim the gb /faithful slave was gods channel of communication for the 'domestics'. Now at this point the brother starts to lecture me about being humble!! This retort is his way of gaining the upper hand by intimating that my 'proud attitude' ie asking pertinent questions is not to his liking. I find this immediately sets up a tension and frustration in the conversation because he has formed a barrier . He than goes on with an illustration about a ship steering in the fog and veering of course but eventually as the fog clears the ship gets back on course Aaaaaaaargh its really hard to keep your composure. I then asked him if there was any new light concerning the length of 'creative days' he stumbled about mumbling and said " I'll have to get back to you on that"?meanwhile he offers me a bible teach book which I did accept, not to be discourteous . Trolley/cart conversations can be a hit or miss affair and most times I feel I leave them with a good helping of ttatt and a seed planted which may one day see them free of the mind shackles which ensnare them.

  A decision based on a balanced judgement on the percentage scale should answer the question as to whether the jws are a cult:... judged against a religion which encourages personal opinion, open and free discussion, non judgemental, no sanction or consequential action if you decide to stop association, gives help and assistance to others for no personal gain, does not demand obedience to a figurehead be it an individual or composite which claims the right via supernatural means to exist....verses the jws who are the exact opposite of the former, which one bears the mark of a cult?

  Jw apologists think carefully do not be fooled too many people have been emotionally scarred been left abandoned and have died because of these hypocrites and charlatans !!

  gambling and greed aside.. the ethics , aims and practices of the companies in which the wtbts have a financial interest, are the very same practices which have been outlined in the watchtower and other jw publications as.. going against jehovahs direction in which 'he' wishes his followers to abide by.

  They are hypocrites of the highest order. Most jws are as blinkered horses being led down the garden path.

  There is ZERO! enthusiasm or at least sincerity coming out of his mouth . His body language betrays the message he is trying so hopelessly to convey...I am convinced he doesn't believe one word he is espousing. Or its total delusion although on second thoughts..if he was truly deluded would there not be more excitement and joy coming from his persona? I m o he is one of a bunch of divisive charlatans who are feeling the pressure of the more advanced investigative age and questioning of their dubious practices and whacky ever changing teachings.

  let's pretend this might happen.

  im not asking what it will mean for the jdubs or for the organization, but what will it mean for you---- if one day you wake up and the watchtower drops the 1914 doctrine.. (you know at some point they have to, but probably not our lifetime).

  if you are disfellowshipped or disassociated and have been shunned by your parents, by your children, by you spouse or ex-husband/wife, for years or even less, will you call your relatives and ask/tell them;.

  I tried to reason with my family after they ditched the last generation fiasco . I honestly thought they would ' see ' the ludicrousness of the nooooo light teaching..... no joy.... some shrugged like it was no big deal others were soooo glad of further understanding by the new york mafia. I think changing 1914 would have the same effect, but.. who knows until it happens. You can lead a horse to water,..but.....

  If they (jws) find happines in the belief that billions of people will be slaughtered because they have not 'lived' their governing body aka faithful discreet slave influenced idea of gods demands of submission, they deserve every attack that they have coming. I exlude however those who unfortunately especially older ones who may suffer from a health condition that would make it inappropriate to try to dissuade them as their reasoning ability is compromised... its a fine line I have to be tactful of in my own personal circumstances.
