  Is the term "worldly" outdated?

  yesterday i had to listen to the co from a spanish congregation on the phone.

  he said the fds has been gradually moving away from the word "worldly" and teaching jws not to use the term anymore.

  has anyone heard this in their congregation or heard the term "non-believers" used before?

  His body language speaks volumes, anyone speaking to encourage others in the wonderful works of jehovah via the faithful slave would surely... most definitely speak and gesture with a joyful uplifting self believing manner. This guys eyes are dead and demeanor morose... I see no uplifting joy in imparting his words of be obedient and obey ... or else !!!

  i was perusing the internet not long ago and came upon this series of videos by a guy calling himself xendrius.

  it declares that many of today's best magicians are in league with the devil.

  his claims are based on his observation that the tricks would be impossible to do unless the magicians had made unholy pacts with the devil.. so what's the take of the wtbts?

  currently i can accept the existence of "god" if you say that "god" is a superior rational being.

  i support the idea for the existence of superior beings living in other places.

  it means to me that we, humans, are not the superior ones in the universe.

  Opusdei...."if you ' say ' that god is a superior rational being ". There in lies the rub. To say or in other words define/ describe 'god' as anything you care to mention is entirely a construct of human imagination. There are undoubtedly many and complicated reasons as well as simplistic reasons eg., I just wish it to be so..ex jws who cling to their belief in god have not imo fully understood why being a jw and the reason for that religions existence is entirely due to belief in 'saying' that god is a superior rational being...they are in effect just going around in circles.

  The sales pitch for these wtbts properties must rank as the hight of hypocrisy for these charlatans.... it flies directly in the face of their belief and teachings that this worldly system is doomed and that salvation and individual hope for the future rests NOT with property investment but worship faith and trust in their figurehead directed Interpretation of ancient myth and skewed reasoning of parables.... let the reader discern !!

  Jehovah's earthly organization has fu...ked up badly..what's Jehovah going to do about it? Answer .... Nothing zilch this so called loving God concept in the minds of the jw wtbts hierarchy is the mythical drivel which has led to the suffering and misery of many many innocents as well as those related. Jw lurkers and those who are awakening to the methods of these charlatans take comfort that we have investigations such as the ARC . .Hopefully the UK investigations into child abuse will be as thorough.

  I Hate the Sound of the Word Jehovah

  listening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.

  every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.

  it stands for so much that i have contempt for.
