Where to draw the line: how Platonism haunts our discourse and the search for exorcism
by slimboyfat inin the discussion about race i adopted a position i am not entirely comfortable with.
i think there is a sense in which it is useful to distinguish categories of description that can be fruitfully defended (apples and bananas) and those that cannot (caucasian or other racial descriptions for example).
but there is a more fundamental sense in which i believe that everything is socially constructed, every single line you can think of.

The human brain has the marvellous ability to convolute for convolutings sake. Its usually the sign of a perturbed unsettled personality. Let the reader discern. -

by cappytan intruth is absolute.
there is no such thing as 2=1 or 1=2.. if one starts out with the equation 2=1, one has already failed.. truth = truth.

The truth is, the 'truth' is whatever the jw hierarchy can persuade their fixated adherants to believe whether it's true or not. If they are persuaded by whatever means compounded by their need to believe(or else)that is their truth until hopefully they snap out of their rabbit in the headlights mindset. -

Is the term "worldly" outdated?
by A.proclaimer inyesterday i had to listen to the co from a spanish congregation on the phone.
he said the fds has been gradually moving away from the word "worldly" and teaching jws not to use the term anymore.

His body language speaks volumes, anyone speaking to encourage others in the wonderful works of jehovah via the faithful slave would surely... most definitely speak and gesture with a joyful uplifting self believing manner. This guys eyes are dead and demeanor morose... I see no uplifting joy in imparting his words of be obedient and obey ... or else !!! -
