Eldub BIL, and Df'ed Kid's!!!!
by DwainBowman inmy super fine eldub bil, has a son that's been df'ed for a long time.
last month he deeded off 1/4 of an acre of land in the back of his pasture, bought a small local built used tiny house, and got it all set up, for his son to live in.
to everyone of the jw's in this area really look up to him and his stand on having nothing to do with his df'ed kid's or grandkids.

Are Jehovahs Witnesses false prophets
by joe134cd ini thought this was a very interesting argument by robert king.
i liked the point he made about if israel had a prophet who spoke in the name of jehovah and it did not occur did this mean that the nation of israel was a false prophet or more so if the nation of israel sincerely believed it.
the answer to that is a resounding no because the nation of israel was god’s appointed nation.

Who claim to speak in the name of jehovah......?
Who claim to provide meat in due season and take upon themselves the title ' faithful and discreet slave '....?
Who claim to have been appointed by holy spirit and jesus in 1919......?
Who have dished out predictions since the time of Charles taze Russel which have proved false....?
NOT the ordinary rank n file jw but they have been subjected to the non sense and wild prophetic garbage from the above mentioned who are indeed by their own failed testimony false prophets. ..or as i would call them deluded arseholes.

they changed it a year ago
by galaxie injust spoke to an elder at the carts, whilst discussing the gb (faithful slave) he informs me they are nowpart of the 'domestics'?

Thanks for replies... So my take is, operating together as 'the slave ' to dispense the'new light' fodder they are not the domestics but as individuals they come under their own direction as a domestic.... It's all so clear now. This elder says this change was a year ago,he still insists that even as 'the slave' they are still domestics. On another point re' false predictions he dismisses deut'18 because it's old law and he justifies it by saying "well I don't recognise the sabbath " oh well take a horse to water.....

Apostasy Movie (For those who have forgotten)
by KW13 inthis movie is out there now in the us and im guessing other territories and due to be released tomorrow in the uk in cinema and for streaming.
https://www.curzonartificialeye.com/apostasy/.
i didnt realise until recently the man behind it all shares a mutual friend with myself so im hoping to get to meet him because this film looks like it will do more for ex witnesses who need justification for moving on and for those who don't understand the religion, i think it teaches more than any documentary?.

This film maker (ex jw ) was interviewed on bbc radio 4 this evening. The interview was part of the recent film releases discussion, it lasted approx 5 mins and was quite in depth re his own upbringing and experiences of jw life and its bearing upon him. They played a short excerpt about the blood issue and the influence of the elders. I got the impression from what the filmmaker said that he held back a bit on content so as not to be too harsh on current jws who may watch it, and basically apologised on their behalf saying that the blood issue and disfellowshiping were the main issues of ,for him, contention but otherwise the religion was just as mainstream as others and let them get on with it. I'm afraid i have to disagree with him, if i had the wherewithal and resources to have made such a film and had it released for public viewing i would not have been so restrained ,but having not seen the film perhaps i am talking out of turn I'm just commenting on the bbc interview. All said and done I'm glad the film is out there.

Kingdom Hall "sale" - new light!
by The Fall Guy inin a town called stevenston on the west coast of scotland, the kingdom hall was closed down approximately 6 months ago and the congregation (named kilbirnie) was assigned to use the kingdom hall of the nearby irvine congregation.. according to an ldc source at mill hill, the kilbirnie kh is scheduled for a refurbishment!
the org boots out the congregation and leaves their kh redundant for 6 months?????????
good planning, ldc.

"We waited a year for jehovah "....oh the anticipation! ...the aforementioned statement comes from the mouth of an elder at a cart in Glasgow while we were discussing the Kilbirnie k h. This elder by coincidence was assigned to (he tells me ) to assess the situation re' the Kilbirnie kh's viability and to decide whether it could be refurbished or if a new hall was required. He went on to outline the structural problems and the decision to look for another site to build new. It was his job to try and acquire land, this is where his statement applies, the assumption being that because within a year no suitable site became available it was jehovahs decision to move the congregation. This begs the question. .... hey jehovah what have you got against the good brothers and sisters of Kilbirnie who had to go to Stevenston where i might add there had been a well publicised sex scandal!!and now have to travel to Irvine. By the way the old Kilbirnie kh was refurbished and is now a cafe/bistro a better service for the community eh.

Anybody here still believe in the bible?
by Mel Morris ini'm a current bible student of jw's looking to chat with someone about biblical doctrine.
i'm not interested in talking with an apostate or a fader, i'm just a person looking for answers and wondered if there are any neutral voices in this forum who have good insights into the bible.
i currently talk with a couple of jw's on a personal level from my congregation and they are knowledgeable to a certain extent, but i dare not ask them certain questions because, as you know, the congregation has a culture of fear that impacts trust and openness, especially concerning biblical doctrine or the societies teachings.

Proof of God
by MrDantastic ini'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.
i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

@why not " i see and feel the divine power" ..seeing and feeling are the senses we derive directly from our brain,if you are convinced this is divine are you saying some supernatural force is influencing your brain personally? ...if so what evidence is there? or is it a faith based assumption?
