Eden .You may not take the jw view but if you claim to be xian there is no difference in the fundementals sin is seen as the reason for the worlds ills and in order to achieve salvation in whatever form you have to be SAVED I refer you back to my previous post there is no escaping my scenario .

Once 'saved' always 'saved'.
by punkofnice inin case i didn't mention it...i was born into the disgusting cult of the watchtower(r).. i left when i was as old as 50 and went to a baptist church, then when i moved house to anglican and finally to a pentecostal church.. i now do not believe in 'god' of any variety.
i do not believe because i see no obvious evidence for a 'god' and only see what people have made of 'god' in their delusions.. ok. so, the question: 'what if you're wrong?'.
well, i might be wrong about a lot but if qi and mythbusters taught me anything it's not to be so gullible mcfly!

Why doesn't god do anything tangible now?
by punkofnice ini was always told that god did loads of stuff that was evidence of his existance.
ususally very brutal things too (b#st@rd).. jesus walked on water and raised the dead we are told.. it seems to me also that the older the story, the more exaggerated it is...y'know...talking snake......global flood.. there are those that claim god speaks to them now and they alone 'know' it.

FHN You misunderstand atheism is not a supposed existence which requires proof it is for the deists/theists that proof is required that god exists .The only proof they seem to ever come up with is basically everything which is humanistic or natural in the universe . Do you see ANYTHING arround you which cannot be explained in human terms?.
All reasoning on the existence of supernatural beings has only ever come from one source : MAN . THEREFORE MAN IS THE ORIGIN OF GOD not vice versa , unless you can prove otherwise of course.

Eden I see you avoided the question of the ORIGIN of sin which is the fundamental reason for being saved .Why blame the perfect creations the angel which became satan or adam/eve what did the know about sin unless there was an example of it before hand. Therefore, the choice they had must have come from a selection they had NO knowledge of

Saved?? From what?. Sin?.Follow the logic of sin all the way back and it originates with the supposed creator ie who gave the perfect creation which became satan the choice. There is no choice without a selection. Who provided the selection? Mmmm I wonder ?. So in my book god should be asking forgiveness from us for causing so much grief for mankind. Does GOD want us to be his friend or have a relationship with him?
by bruh2012 inwt seems to teach both and or make them interchangable------we need to be jehovahs friend.
we need to have a relationship with him as children like a father.. even though there is no bible verses for having a relationship with god, jesus teaches us (was there anyone before jesus) to approach him as father not as some friend.
what bible verses "infer" that we have a relationship with god especially if thats what worshiping him means???.
