  Scottish independance in two days what do you think?

  one thing i would like to say is will the union jack be changed because the scottish flag is incorpreted in it.

  if the union jack is changed will we change our australian flag because the union jack is in our flag?

  even hawawi has the union jack also fiji and many other commonwealth countries.. .

  Simon..it's not about north sea oil or benefits it is fundementaly about democracy ie making our own decisions sink or swim, it is surely a countries right.

  North sea oil or any oil off Scotlands shores for that matter is better served for our benefit no matter when it runs out.

  Not forgetting it would not only run out for Scotlands benefit but of course runs out for all.

  Better together has increasingly become a falsehood not only for Scots but for many areas of England Wales and N Ireland.

  Perhaps and hopefully the Scots action may kick start a new future of shared prosperity for all on these islands.

  We would still remain part of these islands, we are not drifting into the atlantic.

  Any teaching which is based on a belief which collapses in the face of evidence to the contrary.

  Only delusion / brainwashing could possibly make a jw ( or other theists ) adhere to such teachings.

  Gustv's comments have only served to confirm it.

  The illusion of being 'no part of this worlds wicked system ' is laughable and completely bogus!!

  Only a deluded fool would try to defend the watchtower by actually passing it's revealed hypocritical scandals which they would rather had been hidden, as ' just business '.

  My response would be, no yoy do not NEED organised rekigion.

  What you absolutely HAVE is your life to live as you decide within the framework of a standard which does not bring deliberate grief or terror to your fellows, family and friends.

  Definately no NEED for organised or otherwise religion or imo supernatural belief conjured by men with a motive/agend to live a good life.

  i was baptized at the age of 11. like most of us, my commitment wasnt to honor god but rather i was gang pressed into the service of the wtbts.

  and, at such a young age, it was impossible for me to appreciate the enormity of my actions.

  I was 13, at portobello nr Edinburgh.

  50 yrs later the debate still goes on about how I should be dealt with because of my apostasy.
