Oh....and I also meant to add that whilst out pioneering he studied with a family.....and abused their daughter....go figure!....He shouldn't have been allowed near children!.....

My stepfather was an elder when it came out that he was abusing me.He was privately reproved.However an elder in the committee leaked the information to his wife who was a well known gossip and it went around the congregation.The humiliation was awful...I was 15 yrs old.There was a judicial committee.My step father was publically reproved....We had to move congregations...I lost all my friends.My step father ended up in a psychiatric hospital where he told me he was now chosen as one of the annointed.He was however still able to auxillary pioneer.This happened in the late 70s / 80's.He continued to take the emblems until he committed suicide in 1989.

These comments are typical of someone who just hasn't a brain cell!.......I too like Stinky have survived years of trauma as a result of being abused. It has almost killed me, and each and every day I fight to survive the devastation it has left me in.The abuser-molester or whatever the hell u call him ( I prefer MONSTER) in the eyes of the victim- can "never ever" do enough time!....The "victim" is the one left doing the time! The father wasn't only negligent but completely and utterly mad leaving his daughter alone with such a monster....the mother is also accountable.
I could trust a thief....or murderer...before I could ever trust a pedophile !
Hopefully that young girl will get the support and help from the social services....and the agencies that are now around for abuse victims.She will need all the help she can get.....she has been violated not only once by her fathers uncle, but secondly now by the people who she trusted to protect her- her parents!.......
I pray every day for all the children who have survived- but most of all for those who didn't!
The parents should be taken to court and charged with child abuse and neglect.

a 53-year-old jehovahs witness has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment at isleworth crown court this week, after being convicted of six counts of rape and one of indecent assault on a young girl in hanworth.. eric james richardson, from nottingham, was convicted and sentenced yesterday, after the court found him guilty of raping the girl over a period of three years at an address in hanworth.. the rapes occurred between 1988 and 1991 but the met's child protection team only began investigating the case when the victim approached police in june 2002.. the victim of the allegations, who is now 26, had become concerned that richardson might offend again, and had decided it was time for her to speak up.. richardson, a jehovah's witness, had gained the trust of the victim through his attendance at a jehovah's witness church.

What courage this girl showed...I would love to give her a big hug....as a fellow survivor...I would love to have seen my abuser imprisoned ...instead he took the easy way out and overdosed! I'm glad he's dead, but will always regret that I didn't kill him myself. ( I would gladly have served time to have taken the law into my own hands.) At least I know my abuser won't abuse again...but as for this guy...he won't serve 12 years..he'll get out on i.e "good behaviour"...or any other excuse his parole officer will give.And theres a chance he will abuse again when he is released...once an abuser always! I hope he gets the crap beaten out of him inside!...they don't take kindly to child abusers in prison.

the biblical on bad associations spoil useful habits and another on just because everyone else does it doesnt mean you have to do it to, would you jump off a cliff just because other people do what were the sayings that bugged you?

I GOT SICK TO DEATH HEARING THIS SCRIPTURE QUOTED...WHEN I WAS 9YRS OLD I EVEN HAD TO WRITE IT OUT 100 TIMES ON PAPER BECAUSE I HAD TAKEN 2 COOKIES OUT THE COOKIE JAR...I WAS STARVIN AND MY MOTHER WASN'T HOME TO MAKE DINNER..MY STEP- FATHER CAUGHT ME. I JUST MADE SURE I DIDNT GET CAUGHT AFTER THAT!

Any talks from the hall or assembly still stick out in your mind ???
by run dont walk ini will never forget a talk at the assembly where the speaker had a 6 year old child on stage,.
and the experience went something like this.. while at school, the child said something to another schoolmate to the effect of ............................. "i cannot associate with you, because bad association spoil useful habits.".
"and if you don't serve jehovah, you will be destroyed at armageddon.".

Brother gave a talk...obviously hadn't a clue about the words.....He said.."Brothers they say in the song........"Relax ...dont do it...well I say....DO IT!!!!
Needless to say all the young ones burst out laughing...much to the disgust of the congregation!! haha

WTS Addresses Child Abuse - er, kind of...
by iiz2cool inmy wife, who is intent on re-activating herself as a dub since i da'd myself, went to the convention this past weekend.
she showed me this new publication entitled "learn from the great teacher", and placed great emphasis on these two pages i scanned and am posting.
it makes a poor show of telling children what to do when confronted by a child abuser.

I am new to this site...Im not sure how much I want to speak about on this issue at the mo....
I was sexually, physically and mentally abused by my step father for 14 yrs...elders were involved ( in fact my SF was an elder at the time too...)...at one stage an elder asked me if I had encouraged it and what kind of underwear did I wear??...This was in 1979....(incidently my mother bought me my underwear out of BHS......very decent).
I used to pray that my abuser would die....kill himself...crash the car or just disappear.I left school did the right thing..pioneered...still got abused...went out in the service and painted a smile on my face...yet my heart broke...where was Jehovah then???? I have just read the pages on the GT book...I'm gutted...I intend to get a book from my mother who is a JW and discuss this with her.
I understand this subject is very delicate...and some things said in the book were ok...but it is written very clinically....and so judgemental.........these people have no idea how screwed up it leaves the victims. Incidently my abuser committed suicide 14 yrs ago....too late... My biggest regret and always will be is that I wish I had killed him myself....I only found out a few months ago that he abused one of my bible studies after I had (escaped home to pioneer where the need was greater.).This girl was left traumatised and is now a recovering Heroin addict.
I have learned that there is no cure to this problem of abuse but that through education it can be avoided.....the WTBTS haven't a clue....and there is no excuse for that either ... ( theres so many books and professionals who could have helped with the chapter in the GT book.)......they need to "get real"..if they are going to give advice on topics they have no clue about then get the info from the right sources....I'm just disgusted by the whole thing......

I was brought up a Witness...I had wanted to go to college to study to work with kids like my mother had years before me, although she wasnt a witness then....but in those days ...early 80's...it was a "NO NO". I pioneered for 7 yrs from 16 to 23( gave it up due to "nervous exhaustion"....but was given the guilty treatment..."shouldn't give up pioneering stuff").Worked in a fishmongers (yuk...stunk of fish and used to sit at the meeting picking the scales off my hands that hadnt washed off......I also Waitressed, cleaned stairs in tenement buildings, and peoples houses ...in fact went from job to job...I got bored easily and actually hated pioneering. I was always skint...in fact I used to try to place mags ( in those days u charged) just so that I could get my bus fare home....or something to eat.I used to walk so much my shoes needed re-heeled every three days. Been away now 14 years....finally went to college...just recently sat exams..Going on to do some other courses in the fall...cant wait..!...I have a daughter now...shes young but I will really encourage her in education and to work at something that she enjoys..I spent too many years miserable..
