Woohoo!!!! I have asked a question and got lots of responses. Usually I ask questions (with this or my previous username) and no-one responds and then I start to doubt myself. Thank you all.

Anyway - I always understood it was magic spectacles and not a hat, but the hat seem to be the focus and underpants!.

My reason for asking is that I have been speaking to a Mormon recently, we don't get into deep conversations we just meet while out with our dogs and I get the distinct impression that she don't really understand her own religion but so far all advice has turned out good for her so she goes along with it.

Almost like the JW view that if if it turned out to be false it is still the best way to live *which I totally disagree with as a sentiment).

I would suspect that it is a club just like JWs are and belonging to a club is a good thing.

I have no intention of upsetting the Mormon but rather find it interesting to talk as 2 people with similarly viewed religions in terms of not being mainstream

some light entertainment ... there are apparently 39 beatles songs hidden in the picture, but depending on how to interpret some of them you may come up with more.. please post one each, to give everyone a go, and describe where the song is in the picture (so it's not just coming up with a list of beatles songs).

It's not just Lett. Although he undoubtedly does not have a face for TV, they are ALL wound up like springs. They think this is it. Some JW contacted me and suggested I look at this video (I had a quick look but couldn't be bothered to watch it. They don't understand that it fails on every level.

They were expecting various other things to happen first.
They are nearly 110 years too late, their definition of last days means absolutely nothing, a day is as a 1000 years, so this last day could well be 1000 years left.
Seeing Lett talk about the last day of the last days is like the boy who cried wolf and does not make me think for one minute that this may be it.
Even if it was it, I couldn't bear going back to those judgmental, self righteous, self centered, deluded, hateful people, for one meeting let alone for eternity
They are looking forward to seeing 8 billion people die, they are not concerned about the virus and its consequences other than that it is a sign as far as they are concerned. If they did anything to help suffering people, such as looking after old people, contributing funds to find solutions I might view them differently.

this week's study, no 52, march 1 2020 wt dec 1919. picture description (on page 27) for pages 23 and 26 but not for the one on page 24, too embarrassing?

picture it, page 24. the wt lady, with a head volume ~8 times that of the gentlemen sitting behind her, eager to have her voice boom in the kingdom hall, raising arms with 3 other "sisters", whereas all 4 males are abstaining.

Waton, you must never have done the count at the hall. You would have wildly underestimated.

There are 6 males and actually 4 other sisters with hands up.

I agree the Sheldon kid does look a little too interested.

Is wifi sensitivity the new chemical sensitivity?

several of the jws i know have recently graduated/incorporated wifi sensitivity into their (self) diagnosis of chemical sensitivity.

they seem to be particularly terrified of the new 5g, with some even believing that it's the new 5g that's causing coronavirus in china.

the fact that even though they maybe able to turn off their own wifi but will still have all the other wifi signals around them doesn't seem to occur to these jws.

5G does not mean more G's than 4G it just means 5th generation. So the tyre analogy does not work

i've only recently started using this programme.

it does exactly what i need, but one thing i don't like about it is this:.

when i type out more than one page, it displays them on the screen as side by side - instead of sequentially below each other.. can anyone tell me how to change the way the documents are displayed?.

I don't have open office installed presently, but you could try

Click view

Then zoom

Then select either automatic or single page under view layout. You are probably set to columns at the moment.

Sweet baby Jesus.

I just randomly skipped forward to about 18:00 and Lett made me jump out of my skin with his ludicrous facial expressions. Surely they know how he come across.

Also earlier in the talk it was mentioned they could live for all eternity and they all clapped. I genuinely don't think they have ever stopped to reflect on what that means. Yeah sure living for a 1000 years in perfection may be OK, at least you can comprehend it. But living for a billion years, or a trillion years and then realising that that was just the start and there are several more trillion to go in fact trillions of trillions of trillions of years make no sense at all.

Every one of them is totally deluded but they think that everyone else are fools.
