lorenz reibling's replies to the reporter in argentina are in english.. lorenz reibling is intimately connected to the watchtower society and, according to some sources, is a jw himself.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3ssa-9yvii.
so who is lorenz reibling?
Hmmmm...methinks that the Reibling brothers are cashing in on the marijuana industry. Who woulda thought?
OC, the Reibling brothers are cashing in and i think the WTS is subtly promoting it.
A couple years before my husband and I were questioning doctrine and left the borg, my husband had gotten his medical marijuana card and decided to grow a couple plants. Long story short a witness friend went snooping in our closet and saw the plants so we went before the elders to explain we were legal but they still wanted to get a letter of recommendation from the higher ups. The reply was shocking. They basically said if it's prescribed by a doctor you can take it in any form including smoking! I thought for sure that was a no no considering their stance on cigarettes. The only thing they said no to was growing your own because that is less regulated by doctors or dispensaries so they claim. No profit from MJ if people grown their own I guess.
as a good jw i never smoked a joint or nibbled on some brownies.

Thank you done4good! You nailed it on addiction and the issues involved
Lets review Marijuana is not addictive.
as a good jw i never smoked a joint or nibbled on some brownies.
Ok Marijuana is NOT ADDICTIVE people. You don't go through withdrawal symptoms when you're not on Marijuana for a length of time. Other drugs that are addictive will give you withdrawal symptoms when you're not on them.
Now with that said, Marijuana can be habit forming like nail biting. Can it be harmful? Absolutely. if you would rather get high all the time instead of spending time with friends or family then you're looking for trouble.
From our personal experience it has been just great. My husbands migraines have nearly disapeared. Instead of 1 a week he gets maybe 5 migraines a year, but my husband does admit that occasionally he has had some issues with recalling important details at his job after he's been high.
i am jehovah's witness, despite some of the questionable teachings, crimes, and other outlandish behaviors of specific people affiliated with the religion.
i know that my relationship with jehovah is not influenced by any outside factors.
i do not condone any crime.
I notice LJ that you only quoted part of my comment so I want to emphasize that you and I are not a like in love for god.
I must agree with others that u overflow with hypocrisy. Remember it says woe to the hypocrites in the bible.
Personally I could care less that you smoke pot, I myself see nothing wrong with it and it should be legal everywhere however you are part of a religion that would preach and judge it as unclean and if its illegal in your state you could be against Ceasars law. My advice, free yourself from the watchtower and ask the hard questions.
Since you like my name so much maybe you should take it to heart and question everything the men in Brooklyn put out as doctrine as I did.

Do your elders know you smoke MJ? Be Careful my brother in law was DF'd for hitting the pipe, oh but wait, you said you're not baptized. How convenient for you to avoid discipline. Is smoking Marijuana any different from smoking cigarettes? I think they would both be considered unclean habits, right? You don't smoke cigarettes do u? If you love "Jehovah" like you claim then you should quit all unclean habits because remember "jehovah's people are a clean people".
As for the Opening post, I love God because I cant accept a world with out one but I also can't say with out a doubt that his name is pronounced jehovah so I prefer to just say god or lord. As far as what I love about him, I love the world we were given and the potential for human love and compassion to shine at the most unexpected times and how it helps me to be a better person and to reach out and help other people, communities, or organizations/ministries that reach out and help.
Having a meaningfull ministry to support and be a part of that does more for people of all types than just throw doctrine at them has been very rewarding for me and that is something I never got with the jehovah's witnesses because they just didn't reach out to people unless they were trying to convert them.
perhaps some of you remember a new understanding of the sheep and the goats in the epic march 2015 wt study edition - specifically the article "loyally supporting christ's brothers".. while this article was studied many months ago, it was instrumental in helping me wake up.
during my study of the 2015 article i recalled that we had just revised our understanding of the sheep and the goats a few years ago and this caused me to research the real progression of the jw understanding of this parable.
i put the results of my research in an excel spreadsheet.. .
