Never been JW. I'm a concerned friend, wanting to learn more. I like to see behind the eyes of others, and understand where they are coming from.

Lived through the 1974 run-up hype/debacle to 1975.as a young person. Originally from South Florida--Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood. Not raised in the Borg, but more exposed to it than not. Baptized at 14, drifted away, went back at 18, married at 20, rocky standing on and off, then got "serious." M.S. then elder, finally wised up and left it all behind in 1997. The marriage and the borg were a package deal (too bad, because my ex is a great person). Went back to school and got 3 degrees and now have a normal, relatively successful life. Just playing catch-up all the time because of the wasted years.

This is my 2nd JWD account. The first is: Aude_Sapere. (Lost my password when I moved in 2006)........................ Brought into the org by my parents when I was 9. Full-Time preacher in my 20's while supporting myself with full-time employment. Left the org as a 'walk-away believer' in my early 30's. Learned the truth about 'The Truth' in my mid-40's. Happy I'm out now.

We were in Bethel from 1982 until 1993. Joe was a plumbing overseer and I was in Engineering for six years and the rest of my time at Bethel was spent in the Writing Department, minus a few months I was in the Art Dept. working on a special project for the Writing Dept. After leaving Bethel I was a volunteer researcher for the Writing Dept. for nearly five years until I resigned. It was in the Writing Dept. that I discovered the Watchtower's sex abuse problem and pedophile coverup. I left the organization in 1998 by fading and worked behind the scenes to reveal the problems which led up to appearing on Dateline in May of 2002. Since then I've been interviewed many, many times by the media including an appearance on NBC Nightly News, Nov. 21, 2007. I will continue as long as possible to expose the duplicity of Watchtower leaders and misrepresentation of the organization's history. My website is www.watchtowerdocuments.com
