I think they'll start fudging the numbers to make a decrease. This will be easier since they stopped publishing the anointed numbers for individual countries in the Kingdom Ministries.

The numbers are already fudged to some extent, as "flakes" such as unknown people, homeless, DFed, etc. are not counted when they nibble and sip.
The counts are then electronically sent in that evening to headquarters. As for what they add up to... well they could make up *any number* they want to.
