By that thinking, it is immoral to get married, since that is a tax loophole that allows you to pay less taxes.

No, thats claiming your allowance, but as it happens anyone who gets married in order to claim a couples allowance is immoral in my book.

Okay, here's a more hypothetical situation with no outside moral attachments:
Let's say the tax law allows you to pay less taxes if you buy a boat. Would it then be immoral to buy a boat? -

Isn't there a Proverb that warns against being "righteous overmuch"? (Sorry, I only know New World Trangression wording) That seems like it would be a scripture applicable to a "gray area" discussion. And of course the "remove the rafter from your own eye" bit would be good to remind all of the need to apply this stuff personally, and not as an opportunity to decide what others should/shouldn't be doing.
