Well, in-a-new-york-bethel-minute, there's nothing stopping us from linking the photos here and adding our own captions.

One of my favorites, "Stan and July's Theocratic Vacation." Stan also tried selling the WT-BS CD on E-Bay. You gotta give the guy points for enterprise.

The Stanley Theatre, and some visitor's comments:

    Thanks, jgnat!

    It's certainly a very beautiful building....very beautiful.

I wonder how much that cost to buy and restore?

Could it be one of the WTBTS 'investments for the future', sort of insurance for the GB 'just in case' Armageddon does not arrive 'soon'.

I'm NO Catholic, but I wonder what Mother Theresa would have thought of all that expenditure on a 'thing'.

A similar restoration in Pittsburgh cost $43 million.

With the WTBTS 'free labour' I should imagine it cost a little less than $43 million. Either way, if they choose to sell the place they've made an absolute killing of an investment!

    Vitty - YES!

I'm surprised there's no pictures of the loos!

Of course it is! After all, what is the point of continually purchasing real estate if we are so close to Armageddon? Is God so incapable of looking after everyone in the so-called new system that he has to depend on Watchtower to continually build and build? The Org. is big into real estate because that's where the money is. It needs as much profit as it can make to be able to finance all the law suits it is going to be hit with in the future.

I'd like to be reimbursed for all the hours and money I put into it! Some people WILL successfully sue Watchtower and they deserve it!

Dansk - You are so right! It's a bit like watching England try to score a goal in the World Cup, watching people try to sue the WTBTS and win. If they keep on target however, eventually a goal will get in and who knows, with law being as it is, a precedent is set, and unlike Englands football team, there may be a flood of goals against the WTBTS,

Perhaps we should be glad that they have such big investments, then they're able to make the big payouts!

I wonder also, if they might need investments like these to dump excess income. After all, they are registered as a non-profit corporation.

jgnat - Good point! How the hell do they explain 'all that money' to the tax man when they claim non profit status!?
