    LDH beat me to it.

But I understand entirely where you are coming from. I am in awe every day of my four-year-old in similar ways. I vowed some time ago to do everything within my power to keep his mind free from the sort of control I was raised in. The sort of freedom he has, I never knew. And it amazes me.

    Daystar,

*totally understand* and nice to meet you.

I have not often realized that what I'm really rejoicing in is simple normalcy.

Can I get an "Amen!" Isn't it wonderful. I'm going to the local High School Football game tonight. To watch my daughter play with the marching band.

I never went to one game during all four years I was in high school.

One of my mother's proudest moments came when I was 5 or so, she's paying for groceries, and the clerk asks me if I attend school, and I proudly say "I go to the THEOCRATIC school!"

It's a little, neat, harmless memory, and JWism was my heritage. I wouldn't recommend it for children now, but I think at that tender age it was a nice thing to take pride in.
