  of Birdie. Birdie passed away last Saturday. She was 7 years old.

  Liquidsky, I am so sorry for your loss.

  We have a cockatiel. She is my daughters bird, but has bonded with me. She is so very sweet, and talks up a storm. She is only 1 year old this month. I can't imagine losing her. HL

  Thank you.

  She was young actually. Parrotlets live to be 20-30 years old. She became very ill and died suddenly. It was very unexpected.

  I loved having birds as companions. They were so affectionate and their songs always cheered me up. It was hard losing them suddenly.

  I know my words cannot make up for your loss. Keep in mind all the happy memories the little feathered creature gave you. When the sadness leaves, you will always have those.
