Cars...our first true love?

  Just for fun - and on a more fun/lighthearted note - I have a few questions to pose:

  1. What was your very first car?
  2. What car are you driving now? Do you like it?
  3. What is your dream car? Why?

  1. 1971 Chevy Impala - white 2/door - Not a great field service care, since it WAS a 2-door, but since it could seat around 10 people the brothers let me slide. Quoting B-52's "Loveshack"...

  Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail...

  2. 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Love it! Always wanted a sporty plaything and finally got it! Oh wait - we're talking cars? Nevermind...

  3. Hummer - Outa my way!!! That about says it.

  1. My first car was a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. I still have it.
  2. The cars I have now are 1990 Ford F150 truck and a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. I love them both.
  3. I am building a trike. Volkswagen back end and a motorcycle front end. I guess that qualifies as my dream car.

  My first was a 1962 VW Beetle. I had many other Beetles, busses, and a Karman Ghia since.

  I currently drive a 1993 Infiniti J30t, with 190,000 miles. Best auto investment I ever made. Still runs like new, and looks great.

  I wish I had a 911S from the early or mid-1970's. The great irony is now that I can afford what they cost brand new back then, I can't afford what they cost used now.

  I also have this little gem sitting in my driveway, waiting for the time and money to permit a restoration:

  Alas, the cat is no longer with me.

  That isn't Fred, but Fred did come into the yard at all hours and howl for my cat to come out and "play," as he called it.

  First? 1958 MGA Coupe, one of only 5,000 sent to the US. And there were NO dents in the grille. (Hated that electric fuel pump, though.)

  Best? 1981 Buick Regal LTD w/ 4.9 liter V-8, T-tops, every option known to man.

  Current? 1997 Ford F-150 extended cab.

  Damn, that was fun It's a guy thing.

  Hey Andi!

  Lessee...first car was an early 80's (can't remember the exact year!)Chevy Chevette, 4 door, blue, complete with it's own dents...but, man I loved that car!

  Now I drive a 1993 Ford Aerostar mini-van, University of Florida blue (GO GATORS!!!), complete with old french fries and empty candy wrappers...man, I love my van!! I can haul just about anything in it and I feel safe going down the road. Yeah, it's a mom-mobile but so what?! LOLOL

  Dream car? Hmmmmm...that would have to be a cherry red 60's mustang convertible...woohoo baby!!! Commander Riker, here I come!!!

  Mmm! First car was Standard Ensign, 1960, bench front seat, very cuddly.

  Car now is Sierra 2 litre injection, very lively!

  Dream car, probably one of the new retro-styled Jags, oddly enough I always fancied keeping Yank classics, a 60's Chevrolet with big fins or the 50's Cadillac Fleetwood would appeal.

  First car: A funky old Plymouth. It was transportation and that's all.

  Present car: A 1994 Buick Park Avenue.

  Dream car: Probably a Jaguar.

  Favorite car I owned: A 1963 split window coupe corvette.

  English: I once owned a 1976 Fleetwood Broghm (sp?) Cadillac. The last year they made the real long ones.

  okay here are my answers:

  when i got my driver's license i inherited my sister's car, who had inherited it from our grandfather. when i was seven, i rode to spokane washington in the back it. nine years later, the tan '80 VW rabbit was my ticket to freedom too bad the car didn't work in the winter! (below zero F temps and an old tired deisiel car...just didn't wanna run.) the thing was on it's last leg by the time i got ahold of it. and i killed it and so begins the saga of my cars.......lol if you know adam sandler's song "ode to my car" you know what i mean...i've had BAD luck with cars! lol (here's the link:

  i take the bus or my bike. i don't mind it too much, cabs are pretty cheap for going out drinking or whatever

  my dream car would be an old jeep wrangler because i've always wanted one. just think they are cool
