Is there any imaginable (vaguely plausible, at least, please) political or economic situation which, if it occurred would disprove these prophecies?

Sure. There are all kinds of things, like the attack of the killer clowns from outer space, apes taking over the world and that sort of thing. But imagination and reality, while often confused, particularly by a generation raised on tv illusions, are two different things. You can imagine whatever you want, but at some point, soon, you will have to face reality. That's what I am talking about. / You Know

The world is still a piece of crap. Apostates rejoice because of one article saying that the environment is getting better? Have you ever been to a third world country and drank their water? Have you ever been to big cities, such as New York, Mexico City and taken a nice deep breath of their pollution?

Not too long ago, I read in one of the posts here, a post from an apostate saying that crime was going down also? This is all relative of course. If your daughter gets raped and killed, do you give a hoot about the crime going down? What about all the thousands of crimes that are being committed every minute? Oh, but it's going down. Go tell that to the people suffering from crime.

Hey now GR, lighten up on 'em a little bit. You don't want to cast a pall of gloom over the big Aussie apostate weenie roast tomorrow now do ya? LOL / You Know

    Typical dubbisms.

They just never get it. When things go wrong, they think it makes them right.

    Total idiocy.

..... fanaticism masquerading beneath a cloak of reasoned logic.

No Godrules, not on the basis of one article. On the the basis of many measures of human welfare across the globe over time. Life is getting better for almost everyone across the globe - even people in the Third World are eating more and living longer than they were. Your vague feeling that things are bad all over and getting worse is only because the meat in due season you are being fed really IS poor quality and getting worse - a cover of a Watchtower showing a load of shit going down isn't proof of anything.

I had an old Dub man come to my door and show me such a cover of a Watchtower and he said "how awwwwwwwful" life was getting. I looked at the cover of the rag and said :"What, you were shot at by a soldier with a machine gun on your way over here???" and "You were confronted by a drug addict with a needle up his arm??". He got a bit cranky for some reason, but he lost the foot in the door he would usually get with that opener.

You see Godrules, I've known about these positive figures and stats for some years now, even before this article came out. Lomborg is just the latest of a whole raft of thinking people who are beginning to wonder: "If life is so bad and getting worse so quickly, why does it actually look so good?"

Got that date wrong too, YK. It's Sunday. The reference to tomorrow (now today) was about the unseasonally warm weather we're having even in winter. If you want to wring your hands and hate your life, go ahead - I for one will enjoy whatever good times and experiences God sends my way - I'm not an ungrateful bastard like you, I'm afraid.

That's why I included the proviso of "Vaguely plausible, at least". Are you then saying that bar such an absurd event, anything that happens can be shown to be a fulfillment of prophecy?
Here's a more concrete example: If World War 3 broke out tomorrow, would that fulfill your prophecies? If world peace was declared tomorrow, would that fulfill your prophecies? I'd appreciate it if you would actually read and answer these questions.

New here, funkyd? Stick around for awhile, YK's agenda becomes predictable soon enough.

Why do you have to have everything spelled out for you? I thought for people could figure this stuff out? Why is it beyond your grasp that both peace proclamations and the outbreak of war go hand in hand? Study history. Hitler, for example signed a non-agression pact with Stalin, and before the ink was even dry he invaded Russia. Are you such a simpleton that you cannot understand how men might be SAYING that there's peace even while they plot war? / You Know

OK YK, let's narrow it: if neither war nor peace broke out tomorrow, but a continuation of the way things are today "broke out", would THAT fulfill prophecy??
