OldHippie, for the 144,000th time, 7th Day Adventists, Russellites and others were spun from the Second Adventist movement. 7th Day Adventism has nothing in common with Watchtowerism except that it can be traced back to the Millerites. Russell wrote that he was entirely unfamiliar with Ellen White's teachings or writings.
Danny, I understand the brevity of the newspaper's words about Russell, JWs and end-times ideas but there's so much more to know if one wants a complete picture. Can't these newspapers at least include a comprehensive and reliable website for further info? Today's media ought to be savvy enough to get that done.

I concede that you are coming from a place of genuine concern for newly exiting JWs and, in that regard, I can understand your response. I guess, though, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the helpfulness of your descriptions of the other poster's views which is not to say that I support any of the poster's views.
