You never met anyone quite like me, did you? Crazy, vulgar, don¡¦t give a damn, sarcastic, poisonous, happy, joyful, considerate, loving - all in one person. I have to admit I find it rather amusing to see many ¡V in my opinion ¡V absolutely hysterically funny attempts to ¡§explain¡¨ me, to figure out ¡§who I am¡¨ ¡V or what are my intentions. Also, there is another interesting thing about this. Normally it seems women have the least problems (and this is NOT a sarcasm), and I have wondered quite a lot about this.
To me it seems many women have a hard time. It seems they have to hide any trace of intelligence, and pretend to be stupid as holes in the ground. I willingly admit some could fool me by what I see on, among other places, this board. Why is that? How come it seems outspoken women needs to be silenced in some way?
On this board two of the most outspoken ladies are Tina and MommieDark, and I notice the fact that these to amazingly tough and considerate women are among the most attacked of their species. Why is that? How come women have to pretend to be stupid as a hole in the ground to be accepted? How come many men are so damned insecure they tremble with fear if a woman seems to have a head usable for other things than wearing hair?
There are many faults in the Norwegian society, but we have come a long way in this respect. And historically we have no problems accepting woman intelligence. Many years ago we have a woman Prime Minister (not that she impressed me much), and there is nothing wrong with smart women. Nobody tries to ¡§hide¡¨ their brains ¡V except the ones that doesn¡¦t have too much of it.
When I watch things like that, I do say what I think is the fact, and I don¡¦t wrap my words in 200 layers of cotton. That¡¦s not my style, since I¡¦m a rather outspoken guy. And that¡¦s a problem for a whole lot of people. You¡¦re supposed to lie ¡V or at least don¡¦t tell the truth as it actually is. You need to make it looks a little bit better that you really think it is, and you need to smirk people you don¡¦t like, flatter morons not to be a ¡§bully¡¨. All to be politically ¡§correct¡¨. I¡¦m not that way. I¡¦m not that way at all ¡V and then a lot of people do get problems with ¡§my style¡¨.
One of the most popular accusations is that I¡¦m bitter, which anyone knowing me will laugh at. But besides that I¡¦m a terribly offensive person, doing ¡§snide attacks¡¨ and ¡§personal insults¡¨ all the time. At the same time, others consider me considerate, emphatic and caring. For one for me unknown reason it seems that a whole lot of people have an immense need of being able to put people into small, neat boxes. And it seems they are completely incapable of realizing the fact that both part might be parts of a whole person. That some people simply refuse to be wrapped up in pink paper in a neat little box is beyond their imagination.
Maybe it¡¦s the same people scared shitless by women with brains, I don¡¦t know ¡V but I find this rather interesting. Humor is another interesting thing, and so is how things are understood. Something said just for fun, a little sarcasm, or a completely innocent statement, is made the major problem of our time!
In the old times, when Jesus-Witnesses were THE place online, I remember when Norm and I had great fun of this. Norm once posted a long, extremely serious, and well documented post ¡V and he did on purpose use a ¡§four letter word¡¨. That¡¦s what they called it back then, LOL. What do you think happened? The whole thong was just about the ¡§uncivilized barbarian from Norway¡¨ that could use such a word! No more interest for the subject in question.
Well, that¡¦s 7-8 years back (time comes so fast) or so, and I would have hoped the world had learned a bit more. But I¡¦m not so sure. It seems many people still do have a lot of problems understanding others.
Let me ask you all one question:
We judge each other here on the DB because of a sentence or a statement ¡V often ripped from it¡¦s original context. We don¡¦t KNOW the person, but character assassination is among the most popular things. We don¡¦t se persons facial expressions, can¡¦t hear the laughter or anger in his/her voice. We can¡¦t read the body language ¡V but we¡¦re damned sure that person really did mean to hurt someone.
I guess I¡¦ll stay a ¡§mystery¡¨ for those afraid to get to know me ¡V and to those who are unable to read a little bit between the lines. The ones demanding I¡¦m gonna ¡§adjust¡¨ to THEIR values won¡¦t learn who I am either.
I just wonder how come many women seems to be smarter than their male counterparts? Gotta check that out, I believe ļ))
