Yeh Crazyblondeb life was like that for us too in the car on the way home from the meetings and even worse after assemblies/conventions. I got to the point where I actually wrote out one point...otherwise our JW mother would have our non-JW father "discipline" us when we got home! I truly cannot remember one meeting/assembly/convention this did not happen after, can I ever remember coming home from the KH happy. Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it.
When I was studying, I went to a couple of the 'big' meetings.
I would spend the whole day wondering where i could sneak off to, to have a smoke and the rest of it trying to stay awake!!!!
I was told by the people taking me to one huge meeting at ( believe it or not the largest 'racecourse' in NSW Australia.) that I would probably, especially enjoy the "drama"!
It was about a man who was trying desperately to feed and clothe his family on a meagre income so he took a 2nd job.
Their point being that: If you need to take a 2nd job that stops you from attending all of the meetings and doing your door knocking, then maybe you are living too richly and should humble your lifestyle!!! The man was trying to feed his god damned family for christs sake!!!!
I really didn't enjoy that 'drama'!!!!!!!!
