Here is a good one for ya Minimus.

I was friends with a very nice, otherwise intelligent man, except for the jw beliefs. He was an electrition and owned and flew his own small plane to large distant jobs.

One time he described what I would call "sleep paralysis". He involved the elders and they set out on a search for the thing bringing demons to his house.

They looked and looked and threw this and that away.

Finally he recalled that he had recently bought a used tire for his pickup.

The elders had him remove it and take to the trash dump.

He tells me that the demons visits stopped and no amount of discussing this with him, would change an other wise good mind and brain from this nonsense

Let's ALL thwart Armageddon. I'd like that very much.

I never had problems with demons untill I started using Google. It pointed me to this place, and now I've turned my back on pure bull worship.

Gary, thank dog for your broad apostate shoulders

    Minimus:

Sorry to hear about the friction in your family. It's the same story for all (or most) of us. Names and places differ, but the issues are all too familiar.

One point - doesn't the WT law concerning DFd or DAd people make allowance for contact concerning family matters? My family skates by all the time on that one. What I mean is, they basically do what they want with DFd or DAd family, and no one in the Hall can call them out on it, because they say 'Well, this is a family matter.' And that's the end of it.

I guess my point is, for family disposed to the notion, there remains a WT legal loophole of sorts for family contact. Maybe you could do the research for her, provide the quotes from the literature that proves this point, and let her have that ammo against hostile sis. I mean, your aunt would have to respect the fact that these words came from the Tower, right?!

Let us know how this goes for you. In a way, I envy those who left this cult and who were ultimately strong enough to do what they had to, and move on totally without the people that they loved. In the end, maybe it's easier that way then for the rest of us who try to pitifully hold on to whatever sense of normal that wicked cult allows for our families within.

This is a nightmare, and I used to be so scared. As time moves on, I become less scared and more and more angry. These days, I'm angry as hell. Religion is poison.

I was casual friends with a girl from work the last year I was still living at home. She went on vacation and dropped by with a couple small souvenirs for me. Right after that, I started suffering from bad headaches and feeling crummy. My mom quizzed me about the origin of the gifts, my friend's background, religion, lifestyle, her friends, etc. She wanted me to throw out the gifts. I wound up at the doctor. Turns out I had a bad sinus infection and went on antibiotics. End of headaches.

Oh yes the DemonZ, they were waiting in the car for me when i left, had the engine running and everything, even had the decency to put on the air-con. You see the demons are our friends, its whats called a concience, something most Dubs don't have. Oh they have the "dub concience" but its not the same, because its one sided. The demons within us all, challenge us to make our choices.

(((((((((((((((((Minimus)))))))))))))))))))) and one for your mother, too.

That line of thinking of your aunt's? It makes me think of Stevie:

    Superstition

b y Stevie Wonder Very superstitious, writing’s on the wall,
Very superstitious, ladders bout’ to fall,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin’ glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past.

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
    Then you suffer,
    Superstition ain’t the way
Very superstitious, wash your face and hands,
Rid me of the problem, do all that you can,
Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin’ strong,
You don’t wanna save me, sad is my song.

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
    Then you suffer,
Superstition ain’t the way, yeh, yeh.

Very superstitious, nothin’ more to say,
Very superstitious, the devil’s on his way,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin’ glass,
Seven years of bad luck, good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don’t understand,
    Then you suffer,
Superstition ain’t the way, no, no, no

Yes, witnesses believe that the slightest problem (can't find my keys when it's time to go to meeting) comes from the demons. But any good thing that happens in your life is because you're serving Jehovah. Oh, but if you're not serving Jehovah and good things happen in your life, that's from the demons because they don't want you to serve Jehovah. And also, if you are serving Jehovah but you shop at yard sales, and bad things happen to you, then it's from the demons who lived in that used pair of pants.

She told my mom that twice last week, "the demons pushed her" and caused her to fall. Why???? Because my mother associates with me and my mom associates with her sister----therefore the "contact" is made thru my mother to her.

    holy shit.

she needs medical attention. perhaps an "intervention" is in order.
