Yeah in my area the fireworks started on Wednesday the 26th of October. I was screaming out to my neighbour to shut the f*** up beause i was trying to watch TV.

On the 5th of November you kind of expect it, and even today on All Hallow E'en i expect them, because of the tradition of fireworks around about this ime of year. However, it's very aggravating when every night for 2 or 3 weeks, you hear fireworks in the next garden from 5pm to the ungodly hours of the morning.

Firework noise isn't nearly as annoying as stereos cranked too high. That does get me irritated.

    Bloody annoying,

Hi dorayakii, my sentiments exactly. 'Shut the f*** up!!!' .... I like that! Oh dear, how we have fallen into 'spiritual darkness'! And I love it.

John Doe says: "Firework noise isn't nearly as annoying as stereos cranked too high. That does get me irritated." I mentioned that I have two pet peeves. Loud stereos is the other one. And I think Greendawn hit the nail on the head----------------------------------The fireworks industry must have an extremely powerful lobby. That's about the only thing that can explain it. David

A couple of years ago I went to a dance party in Thailand. Before it started, I was talking to a local about the event. He says, good time, many fishermen fireworks. What is fishermen fireworks? Dynamite!!!

And yes, about halfway thru the night this god almighty flash and roar (and blast wave!) goes off in a small area thats not packed with drunken/stoned partyers. Next a drunken Thai fires a rocket thru the crowd!!!

Time to get a beer and safe spot for a while.....
