Not really I am just tired of being angry about my life as a JW. The more I read on here the worse I feel about my situation so I need a break from being anti JW. I know many will think I am nuts for going back to the "vomit" at least mentally since physically I never left but I am kind of stuck and I have a beautiful family to lose if I became an open apostate. I know some here undertand my viewpoint others won't and thats fine. Spiritually I will never "go back" since I know they dont exactly have the truth, for now I need to pretend that they do I guess.

I totally understand about needing a break from being anti-JW, especially as you've been here since 2002. My boyfriend said the other night that I need to move on and that I'm in danger of wallowing in self pity and not moving on now that I have finally realised the truth about the "truth". So i don't particpate quite so much. The reason I do come back and post, if a little less prolifically, is for entertainment and socialising, but also because I feel a duty to help newbies and those with questions the way I have been helped by the board.

I don't know how you can do it. It took me 15 years to get to the last straw after the 5 years it took to get to the straw before that and the 15 years to get to the straw before that.

I'll miss your posts immensely.

I wonder what this course will do to you as a person? Doing one thing while believing another is not going to be good for you. You see I don't see it as a matter of whatever brings the most happiness to you or your family. Surely this is about faith, not about you but about God. Also, it'll affect you in many seemingly little ways, for example how will you pray with them at their gatherings? The truth is, you've already left - I'm sure there's many like you - but you'll be willing to put yourself back under 'thier' slavery.

It seems to me now that I'm old and grey that life isn't full of happiness. Instead it's a struggle with a few snatches of happiness. Joy? Yes, but that can come even amongst adversity. Standing up for what you believe, what you ARE, makes you that better person.

That's what I've found anyway. I am glad to have made my stand, even though it 'cost' me all my relationships with every one of my family, and all my former friends. Still, it has worked for the best in the long run. Those who choose to shun me - well, it's their loss, not mine. I KNOW I did right, I KNOW what is the truth, I also know what is the LIE.

Please think about it.

I had a bit of a hard time with the anti JW thing too...but then I was able to seperate (for myself) what was important and what wasn't.

Just like they say at the KH... you have to make the truth your own. For some people, sites like this isn't always comforting. For others it is.
