anyways, chiropractors are dangerous all they do is release endorphins into your body... then make you dependant on your bodie's natural painkiller... anti-inflammatories are probably the best you can do...

Please... The simplest thing a chiropractor can do is adjust your spine. The greatest likelihood is that some of her vertabrae are misaligned and pressing against some nerves. This can also cause muscles in the vicinity to tighten up and worsen any pain. A chiropractor can simply realign her vertabrae.

I wake everyday with my RA back & hips paining. I find the best thing is a VERY HOT SHOWER !!! stay in it for a long time..... But DO go see a DR soon. Also lay with a hot water bottle or heating pad.... Do let us know how it is tonight GO TO A DR!!!!!!!

I recommend a hot stone massage and a visit to the chiropractor. The pain ought to go away and you will feel like jello!

Lots of people have said heat and that does feel good, but it does nothing for the inflammation. Ice it first for at least 15 or 20 minutes, it takes the swelling down. Then you can alternate with heating pads for up to three or four cycles. But please don't neglect the ice, trust me I have a chronic problem with this myself!

Also, when I injured my back in an accident the anti-inflammatory I was on was Ibuprofen. Its one of the better ones.

Hope you feel better soon, the best advice really is to see a doctor and/or chiropractor SOON.

ICE will help with the pain! When it really gets bad, relief is just a few minutes away when you have an ice pack. Ice doesn't FIX the problem so much as it stops the pain for a while (Thank God). Advil and hot baths help me, too. But when it is really killing me, nothing beats ICE. Did I mention ICE?

Like cordelia said Deep Heat works well... But if the problem continues I'd strongly advise seeing a chiropractor. (Listen to me, "strongly advising" something, anyone would think I'm responsible... lol)
