    Two points:

    1) As best I can tell, She wasn't trying to "show her". She has moved on from the "prove you wrong" stage of leaving the Watchtower to the "oh, you poor wasted life" stage. It's progress.

    2) You'd be surprised what wakes a person up. One user on JWD was brought out by a billboard that simply said, "607 BCE?!?" For me, that wouldn't have meant a thing. But it caught his eye, he did some research, and realized the 607 date was baloney. He got out. Different points appeal to different people. Here's a woman that says she understands the Bible perfectly well with the help of prayer. That stands in contrast to the normal JW view of people that they read the Bible but don't understand it. It may put her on the path to questioning other things, and lead her on out.

i felt the exact same way when i read defd's post.

defd: i'd say most of us are not the typical apostates we were warned about as jw's. we were taught to HATE people who don't even almost hate us. just because they disagree with what they were taught as jw's...

    you sure showed her. defd

I feel sorry for you because you have been so deceived by the WTBTS for so long that unless you can truly appreciate that God sent us a message that we can understand without looking to anyone except Jesus your eyes will see yet be blind and your ears will hear yet be deaf. One day you will understand that Jesus took your sins upon Himself and experienced the wrath of God that you deserve. I just keep praying that you will open the door of your heart and let Him in before you step into eternity.

Why feel sad for them,,, They're doing what they want to do and what they believe in. I think they probably left feeling sad for you.

It's amazing even from this post how you can feel the sincerity of some people on this board. Even if we all don't agree on everything.

I have always wanted to have a call , in a situation where I would not be recognized. Given what I know now, I would try some "Reasoning from the Scriptures"

Ditto!I have lived outside my old congs territory for about a year now...and no-one has called!!

I can't shut the door on anyone if they come in peace...if JWs come to my house they are welcome and are offered refeshment and comfort....and we can discuss religion ...my view and theirs. That is just the way I am. It will be up to the Jw visitors if they want to return or not. But I will never turn them away from my door. No point in being rude just because they are blind sheep of the WTS.
