Hey, in every group set up to "judge" everyone individually and collectively and strive for a standard of perfection no one understands...........
What do you expect?
Busybodies, of both the male and female persuasion, under the guise of "helping" you.

Thats what witnesses do; they have set themselves up as judge, jury and expect excecution from God for all the 'sinners' they identify.
It is a powerful tool for the elders. There is always someone willing to 'turn in the wicked'.
I remember one elder complaining that the body did not find out about a particular problem for a long time and they could not take action.
They expected the gossip wheel to work full steam and most of the time it does.

I think all congregation were busybodies to a degree, but there are always those that make it an art form.... we had several that would be known as the Kingdom Hall Herald or Gazette... tell it us in confidence.. we'll share with the whole world and his best mates neighbours uncle ad infinitum!

Busybodies? Isn't that the primary function of Jehovah's Witnesses? It's much more interesting than peddling cheapass magazines.

Not that I'm speaking from great experiance here, but doesnt every church/office/family/whatever other group you can think of have busy bodies?I can say that the busiest, most judgemental people were the ones with the most troubles themselves.
Awwww look here I go gossipin.
