Maybe it's just me, but I didn't find it all that amusing. And I love funny videos and such. Heck, my personality usually screams humor.
It could be that the man with the *soft* voice has/had a medical condition which causes it to sound that way. Obviously, the audience didn't find it all that amusing either. I wouldn't be surprised to see the host in the unemployment line if the show was a serious based one.

OMG that was so funny, but I wondered why no one in the audience was laughing at the reporter laughing......
Maybe they didn`t hear him as well as the reporter. Or maybe they immediately knew that something was going wrong, they probably felt embarassed on behalf of the reporter...which, of course, just made the situation worse for that poor reporter.

And the woman was in a wheelchair, crying, and I think I heard her say "narcoses"...the discussion is definitely about something tragic...but you know, if you allready started laughing, that could make it even worse to stop. But yes, I feel for the poor guy with the "soft" (ha ha) voice...
