Well I think that they must feel that they have failed in their efforts of filling you with 'The holy spirit'!!!

Maybe this is their next point of attack................fill you with the other kind of spirit.....The "Holy Shit, i shouldn't have drunk so much kind" !!!!

It all works the same, a mind numbing 2 hour meeting in the Kingdom hall, a 1 hour at home preaching session or a night on the liquid malt....your brain is mush by the end of any or all of them! Enjoy

I do not know whether or not you are officially d/f or d/a'd? if not, then they are free to send a gift. Either to get you maybe receptive, or to prove that J W's are normal, or maybe they are just nice people.

I wonder what Mrs Tetra received?

If any local dubs want to try that , I prefer Southern Comfort..

Tell yer friends our anniversary is coming up! (It's not, but tell 'em anyway! "Theocratic Strategy"!)

(Yah, that's pretty weird. But people are people, whether they hide in a JW cloak or not. Sometimes the person inside the automaton peeks out.)

    LOL everyone...

i'm feelin chirpy this morning! amen! holy spirit is upon me!

well, bluebro, i am DA'd. this particular friend called me himself to say that he could not be my friend, when he read my DA letter, and a personal one i sent him.

mrs. tetra and I both like scotch, so the gift was for both of us. i think she thought it was really nice of them. and it is kind of nice. i would rather be friends, but whatever, i'll take scotch.

i'm gonna send him CoC for his aniversary.

    BWA HA HA HA HA!!

I was struck by the irony of all of this. Here is a guy, celebrating er anyway, his anniversary is coming up, and another couple (assumedly friends) send him and his wife a card and a gift of fine, single malt scotch whiskey. Now, in a normal relationship where one had not been exposed to a cult, this would be accepted warmly, drank wholeheartedly and enjoyed in the usual way.

Instead, we're sitting here, peering at this opened, and slightly used bottle of scotch going, "What's their angle?" How whack is that?!

But Scully, it's what God said. I mean to say, if ya can't bend a few forum rules for God, who can you bend them for?

    forsharry,

LOL, i love those quotes! saving those!

and ya, it is really ironic, this whole thing. the funny thing for me, is being a rabid anti-JW and then letting my guard down for a few moments while i enjoy a drink from a JW. it's all so F-ed up! LOL. i love it.

    hey ross,

tell jesus thanks for me, kay? kay. MWA HA HA HA HA!! (you being scottish is just too fun right now, sorry)
