Simon,
"gravity & time linked"?
I thought it was space and time. Darn, too much Star Trek I guess. Oh well...

This argument is self-refuting. If everything has a cause other than itself, then god must have a cause other than himself. But if god has a cause other than himself, he cannot be the first cause.
Why does God have to have a cause? What if God is a different type of lifeform all together? What if he is able to dwell outside of space, time and all the other aspects of the universe that affect our physical person? He would have to be right, to be able to manipulate all those things to bring about the material universe?

I think about these things a lot...
too much.
I dont know if people realised my previous post had a treble meaning and was not a frivilous joke.
I think I want to be a monk, seriously.
I cant see any way I can ponder these things without interruption.
If any one knows how I can be an ex-jw monk, please let me know.

If such a creature as this can exist without cause, then surely this universe could also exist without cause.

True indeed, true indeed. Is our universe based on cause and effect?

Your question presupposes credencing the big bang theory.
I've never subscribed to this theory. And if I understand your question properly, you want to know where the singularity came from. I suppose you're implying with your question that God made the singularity. Well, it did have to come from somewhere, didn't it. As far as I know, nothing just happens!

SHIT HAPPENS?
SHIT HAPPENS?
Nothing happens that god dosent know about and permit. And God has a purpose for everything. Your shit has god's blessing and approval.
