I know some people who were so anal about counting their time that they only counted the time they actually spoke to people and not the time riding in cars to get there. Hell, I counted from the time I left my house to the time I got home.
Did you record your hours in field service correctly?

I couldn't do the hour padding thing. It was bad enough that we spent 90% of the time in the car anyway. I was more content taking the personal embarassment of having a lower "score" than notching up my time.
Simply put, the ministry has become a sham for the majority of JW's. Everyone knows those hours published at the end of the year WT are completely fictitious, I mean hell, about 150 of those reported hours are mine and almost all of them were spent doing nothing or very little.
Tell it, brother. I was in the Japanese group, and "service" there was horrible. We created our territories by searching phone books for Japanese names, but the vast majority of places we called at, the person had either moved away or was a second- or third-generation American who couldn't speak Japanese any more than the guy next door. We would drive all over tarnation scratching addresses off our territory cards. If, during the course of an afternoon, someone in the cargroup talked to an actual Japanese person, it was a big deal. I remember an entire month going by where I did not talk to a single person at the door.
The waste of time and resources is simply mind-blowing. Lord, it is good to be out of that madness!

Nestleboy, they do ask you if you want to be made up, but its like 2 minutes before the meeting starts so you cant tell anyone.
I had a real shock when it was announced my hubby was made a servant, now I think "bloody cheek," fancy not letting their wifes have a say whether you want your partner to have more responsibilities or not

For many years, I was scrupulous about recording my time. When the elders started hounding me that it wasn't enough towards the end, I expanded my time. Similar to the elders who would show up for the meeting for field service and take off leaving the group on their own or in the hands of the MS. Their time was spent doing bank business, picking up the dry cleaning, meeting other elders on similar missions at a coffee shop, sharing the congregational
newsgossip, getting the oil changed, dropping by a few NHs they knew would still be NH, checking for a part for the car, driving by Sister Weak's house to catch he smoking outside or to see if Brother Inactive has put up any Christmas decorations. They will count 2 to 3 hours on their slip.Blondie

Oh I am SHOCKED!!!!! I never added time I didnt do. If you have heard my testimony .... which is on line at M&M Ministries ---you will know I used to do MORE than I counted, because folks used to tell me they put the Watchtower in the car window -drive to Chicago ( From Montreal) & count time for it. I used to believe Jehovah didnt think that real witnessing so I did MORE time to cover their misdeed.
Boy I am beggining to think I was a REAL LOSER!!!! 25 years of slavery ----------Can I fit down that toilet bowl???? & pull that chain.....????? Drats to fat!!!!
