Well, I was hoping you could provide something of substance in regard to any recent changes - because I haven't seen or heard
of anything worthwhile. They just don't seem to comprehend that major changes are needed , not just a few tweaks.
Perhaps you could offer some examples.
Thank you,

what is THE TRUTH but something con artists invented to sell to their marks?
it seems to me there are two basic forms of logic-- traditional binary logic where you ask a yes or no 21 questions like deal and the universe answers yes or no....
and then there is what seems to be reality, fuzzy logic, where every answer is a guess to some degree and you gamble on what seems mostly likely at the moment which can change back and forth over the course of time...
in the binary logic world THE TRUTH seems firm and established, yet can be completely false as a yes or no answer when maybe is the actual result is often seen as a yes or no depending on beliefs already held and that leads to paradoxes and controversies..... does the bible teach an immortal soul? JWs and others say no, most others say yes.

I don't know if it will matter in the long run, but...
... I got some info from an elder that the major theme of the recent KM school was "erring on the side of mercy." (!!!)
Heh, this is a no-brainer if you want to remain a growing religion.... -

Randy,
Thanks for posting that article. Cox is a terrific thinker and a really fine writer to boot, which is a nice combination. His reasoning on the impact of the Internet on JWs is similar to how I've thought for a few years now, and we used to discuss this in detail on H2O. Seeing all the newbies here on JWD shows how the river of dissent is growing.
Cox presented some great ideas, and I loved his overview of how the Society changed from Russell to Rutherford and then Knorr - from the Reasoner to the Judge/Politician to the Corporate Businessman. Rutherford presented his opinions on everything, and the Witnesses have never been able to recover.
I too printed out the article, and I'll study it again and again.
Thanks,
S4

great article. thanks, randy, for another informative post.
as i read, the thing that produced a big belly laugh was the fact that wall street traders used the flashing wt sign across the east river as a tool for divination! lol
