Amazing to think that I've personally read 2% of the entire circulation of that book...

I am going to fill out an inter-library loan request for this book. --VM44

    Hi VM

I read Timothy White's book many times. I've even reviewed it on Amazon. The Ann Arbor public library had a copy of it. I even managed to get a devout JW to read it, and when he was done he was angry. He had nothing to refute the book, simply his own anger.

If you look carefully, you will see many active threads that died as soon as I left a comment, so don't be surprised if my post kills this thread. I don't want to kill my friends threads so I don't post as much as I would like

    Hi Leolaia

    Hey, I can't kill EVERYTHING!

As to Timothy White and secret files: I seem to recall (and its been a very long time, therefore this recollection may simply be random neural misfirings) a statement in the Introduction to his book to the effect that he was granted access to files at headquarters, files normally inaccesible.

Can this book be put up on the internet?

If the book is still under copyright, but no one comes forward to claim copyright, then would it matter?

I have obtained White's book, "A People for His Name" from an interlibrary loan request, and I have to say it is an amazingly good book.

The research is superb! The book gives the history of the Bible Student, JWs, Russell, Rutherford, and Knorr.

It is like Penton's "Apocalypse Delayed", but only that it was published much earlier, in 1967.

That only a 100 copies were sold only shows that the book was not marketed properly.

If the author could be contacted, he should be encouraged to get the book back into print.
