I've now been out a couple of years and so don't have this information.
Does anyone know...
(a) ... in which countries is the work of JWs currently banned?
(b) ... in which countries is the Watchtower Society banned?
(c) ... in which countries is the work of JWs not banned, even though the Watchtower Society is not officially recognised?
This would be extremely helpful for a little project I'm working on.

Any idea whether these countries fall into (a), (b) or (c)...?
Probably have to call Bethel for that info.
If you check the yearbook its the countries marked as no data. And in the update in the watchtower it is listed as # other countries, you could see what countries were not on the master list and count down that way.

I don't have any recent Yearbooks to check. Sometimes they also mention it in the section where they summarize the 'world wide progress of the work.'
Can anyone anyone check the 2005 Yearbook... ?
In most of the Arab / Moslem countries, both the work of JWs and the WTBTS are banned; Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi-Arabia etc. etc. Notable exception has been Libya. And of course Lebanon, to which inhabitants from Arab countries move to have baptism as JW performed.
But pay attention to the fact that in MONACO in Europe, the work is banned too !

Not enough
From what i recall, All the arab countries except for Lebanon. Also Singapore... + more.
