  I was flipping thru TV stations one day and Pat Robertson had a chalkboard with the name Jehovah written on it three times. He was saying " God's name is Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah and we should all pray to him." He then said a prayer to Jehovah. I thought I was hearing things, except he had it written on that board.

  everyone here at JWD uses jehovah's name. it's not always in the best of light, but we sure do use it.

  The Puritans and Pilgrims used the name.

  Jehovah was used liberally in Colonial America.

  And don't forget that it was a Catholic monk, Raymundus Martini, that gave us the name in the first place in 1278. He wrote a book in Latin called Pugio Fidei ("Dagger of Faith"), and the name in Latin is "Jehova." And it was that Latinized word that crept into the King James Version in 1611. So, Jehovah's Witnesses can give thanks to a Catholic, not the Watchtower Society, for that name. See how ecumenical they are.

  Kenneson, that was my exact statement to my mother and of course she agreed. Right now she's in a bit of a quandry and makes comments like,"If I ever stopped going..." Things are doing well.
