Hello Jesus Witness and welcome to the board.
I appreciate your concerns and trying to share some scriptural thought with people here. True we have had many trinitarian topics posted here but we have to remember that we do have many new people that come to the board everyday and so reposting topics is not a crime by any means. The key thing to remember though is this is a discussion board and thoughts/opinions are often debated back and forth with no one party claiming they are absolutely right. If we come to this board claiming absolute in our claims then we are really no better then the Jehovahs Witnesses and have shut out all thinking on our part. This is a great place to get a well rounded out view on various topics related to the past experience of being a Jehovahs Witnesse, and in how to carry on after exiting the organization.
It is encouraging that you take time to post on bible subjects and try to display scriptures to back your ideas, but one must also give open thought to the other posters views as well. Essentially we must keep an open mind and respect the other posters opinions. This also goes full well for some of the replys I've read, and I don't think anyone should show hostility toword one posting their view. While this is pre-dominantly a recovery board for ex-Witnesses, I don't feel in any way should one be discouraged from sharing a spiritual message with others, nevermind resorting to slanderous name calling against the one bringing such thoughts. I was very dissapointed by reading some of the degrading names pointed directly at this poster, but I realize sometimes emotions run high.
I have to comment on this post though Jesus Witness,
If Jesus is not the one true God then you are safe.
But If Jesus is the one true God like the bible says he is.

The view I get from this is a very judgemental standpoint on your part. Only one can be the judge according to the christian view and that is not you, me, Jehovahs Witnesses, or any other then Christ and his Father. This comment felt like a watchtower rerun as I read it, how dare one even begin to presume how others will be judged according to their beliefs. We are not mind readers and cannot forsee who God will judge as right or wrong, if one does this they are essentially no better off then when they were a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses. The Witnesses try to judge people as to whether they will survive armagedon soley on the basis of a upstanding membership within a man made organization. You have presented the thought of Christ condemming thoese who may have a different view from the trinitarian one, a view that is very controversial at best, and one that can be argued from a scriptural standpoint both ways. This perception you have taken against ones not supporting the trinity is a very judgemental one, and one that finds no support from scripture as we are not to be judging our brothers. I don't feel that eternal life or grace is hinged upon ones doctrinal views, organizational membership, etc, but rather upon their heart condition and faith. I am not reprimanding you for your post here but rather bringing to your attention the feeling of judgementalism I get from it, a view I would not take comfort in taking myself.
None the less I think we all can learn from each other and build off of each other no matter what our beliefs are. Again I don't find it encouraging to see mudslinging and name calling as we are lowering ourselves to the level we were at when among the Jehovahs Witness membership, and condemming Christendom. It also may end up discouraging lurkers from wanting to post feeling they may be a target for voicing a viewpoint on a certain matter. Whether of christian, atheist, eastern, or any other religion we must display patience and understanding for other posters. I feel any discussion point is acceptable to debate on and should not be ridiculed unless it is directly attacking fellow posters, in poor taste, or trying to draw ones away to some sort of affiliation with an organization. This is a great board with freedom for all to post without fear of retalliation, so lets keep it that way.
I hope and meant not to rub any one the wrong way with this post but wanted to share some of my feelings of the opinions displayed. None of these thoughts are directed to any one poster and never would I single out one but rather the whole thread carried such a feeling, and I do respect all the posters on this board. Without the various people on this board it would not be the same, and everyone add a bit of charm to this board.
