I used to wrestle the eel and actually chose to confess to the elders, oh the humiliation, no wonder I still feel like a looser sometimes.
I know a couple of different elders that were put down for 'it'. I bet the other elders were all sitting there thinking that there was nothing wrong with the red faced elders doing 'it', but they had an obvious problem with keeping things confidential.
Another young guy I know had an elder ask if he had a problem with masturbation. He said 'not at all, I'm an expert at it', wrong response for anyone wanting to climb the congregation ladder. -

That's what my mother did to me. I think I was 8. Thank Ned they never took me into the back room. I would have died! But what they did do was give a local needs talk on the "Big M". That mixed with my mother reading every JW article she could find on the subject was definately emotional abuse. The next time I gave into the urge, it sent me into my first bout with depression. I was too embarrassed to confess, but I thought if I didn't confess, I would die at Armageddon. I decided that I would rather die than confess to someone that was like a grandfather to me. Gawd, it screwed with my head!
