for writers of viruses, spyware and other various forms of malicious code?

I have been getting pop ups for a week (even with a pop up blocker) of something called winfixer which tells you you need to buy their product to stop annoying pop ups!!! What I didn't know is after 7 days it dumps it trojan payload called "vundo" on you which doesn't even work properly and causes a normal service which is running to use 50% of your CPU utilisation.

Norton very kindly lets you know you have a virus, but fails to remove it...

I did it, but it took 6 hours of messing around.

Oh, and I must remember to write to Bill Gates and thank him for the wonderful roll back facility, it's so useful to have old viruses re-installed just when you least expect it. ;)

It seems like I've got a virus now - I feel crap - 2nd or 3rd one this year - like the flu. It's pretty awful.

Well, anyway - I found out today I share George Best's birthday as well as one of his names. I'm also not adversed to a few drinks, although my footballing skills cannot really be compared, in fact more like non-existant.

Yeah , well anyway, I thought the advice was always to "update your drivers" but maybe not if you're still playing a game that's 6 years old. Unreal Tournament is now not working on my PC... following updating my nvidia drivers. Damn.

Did you also know you can send yourself messages on this website - how weird is that?

ah, I'm sorry you're having trouble. I've had problems with this as well on the pc. Right now I'm on a mac which I've never had any virus or worm trouble...since most of those things are made for pcs. There are drawbacks to macs but hackers and the like aren't any of them from my experience.

Have you tried stepping up your firewall and...well, you probably have...and it didn't work. You could always try reformatting...
