Joelbear, Jesus said if your brother doesn't listen to even the congregation, let him be to you as a tax collector and as a man of the nations.Matt.18 sumthin or other. I can't remember if he said to forgive your brother 77 times before or after he said the above.......... Paul wasn't the only one.
I think shunning if at all should have a time limit..........but I dont know how long. What do you think?
Even when an Israelite under the old law drank blood, they were kicked out of the camp for only one week.(Lev.) One week after being disfellowshipped within the organisation your still shocked your truly kicked out and you still have 51 weeks to go before you can get back in their camp.....then you STILL are on restrictions for about as long you were expelled for ....and even longer to regain a position. The Israelites laws were sometimes more lenient than the damn dubs! Gumby
