Yes, it is 6 years today since I entered a kingdom hall for the very last time, and with each passing year this particular "anniversary" gets happier. Even better this time, I have so many people to share it with who have had the same kind of jw experiences as me, in the past the friends I have made since leaving the lie kind of acknowledged it, but didn't really understand, so I just want you all to share in my joy today.
Here's to the next 6 years.

Congrats on the milestone dedpoet. It's been nearly 2 years since I myself left, sometimes it seems like forever and sometimes it seems like just yesterday but Ive certainly never regretted my decision, not even once, in all that time.
Happy Anniversay Depoet. I have been out over 20 years now and every year when it gets to about the time of year I got out I give thanks and celebrate. My life is sooo much better now than it would have been if I had stayed in that worthless organization.

That is soooooooooo great. I have only been out for 7 months, but I can imagine how happy you must be. I feel like I have a lot to be thankful for this year, that's for sure!!! So, yes, here's to the next 6 years. ****cheers****

Congrats ...
I've been out for twenty years also. But only 'truly' out since I discovered this board about a year ago. Before that, a part of me was still waiting for sudden destruction to be rained down upon my hopelessly homosexual self.
When I found this board I became obsessed for a while ...
then I got ANGRY.
So much so I had to let this all go for awhile. Getting twisted about all those self-destructive years since I left didn't do me any good, and I really can't blame the dubs for making me believe that I had no future.
Actually ... yes I can.
But anyway ... I'm back now ... and I've channeled my anger down a more productive avenues.
