Seems like all these years bible scholars have been telling us the Devils number was 666. Seems like this is a mistranslation as the number should have been 616.

I think this has been posted before.
It is an additional attestation for an already well-known variant.
666 is the numerical value of the Hebrew letters (qsr nrwn) transliterating the Greek Kaisar Neron, "Caesar Nero".
616 is the numerical value of the Hebrew letters (qsr nrw) transliterating the Latin Caesar Nero. Or, of the Greek letters for Kaisar theos, "Caesar god".
