I have a bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz. I have no idea if it is a 'good' wine or not, but I like it.
Ozzie? Critique?

Oh, and if you're in SE Asia, look out for a bottle (or two or three) of Dalat Red. It comes out of the highlands of south central Viet Nam. Dalat is a town that became popular in French colonial times as a resort town with cooler air for the colonials that offered some relief from the heat of Saigon. Red wine is not universally seen in Viet Nam. There are plenty of beer labels in Viet Nam (every city has its own "local beer") but wine has yet to catch on with the locals. Dalat Red however is really something and well worth the haggle over price. You'll need to do a bit of bargaining - aim low!
Enjoy!

G'day Jeff,
You ask about the Yellow Tail?
Some wines are relabelled for USA consumption; it's done to get through the strict tariff laws you guys have. I think really it's caused by Californian winemakers jealous of their 'patch'. After all, it must be hard trying to compete with the world's best shiraz!!
What i'm saying is that you find some labels in your liquor stores that come from Australia and yet Australians aren't acquainted with them - for the reason given above.
What I think the Yellow Tail is like, it'd be quite acceptable when we come to visit, but probably not one I'd choose for myself, if you know what I mean.
Oops, I've just realised how unlike Jesus' parable I am, you know the one, where the best wine was brought out last for the very merry wedding guest!!!
Still, I'll look out for Yellow Tail and if I find some, I'l take a bottle and toast you with it!
Cheers, Ozzie
wow, Oz...
Ask and ye shall receive....
Any others?
