What's fascinating about this article, is that no where can you find "cabbie is a Jehovah's Witness". Yet, the back cover of Awake! and Watchtower's are full of people who "return lost items."

Cabbie strikes gold for returning lost diamonds

Los Angeles taxi driver gets a fat check — and a bracelet for his wife

    Updated: 1:02 p.m. ET Nov. 30, 2005

LOS ANGELES - A Southern California cab driver’s simple act of honesty has turned to gold.

Two weeks ago, the driver, Haider Sediqi, tracked down a jeweler and returned to him the $350,000-worth of diamonds he left in the back seat of the taxi.

As a way of saying “thank you,” the jeweler sent the cabbie a $10,000 check and a diamond bracelet.

But the honest cabbie was just as impressed with the man’s thank-you note. The jeweler wrote that the cab driver had “changed his life.”

No, insurance probably would have covered the owner's losses.

Aaah, too bad that there are other good people in the world, huh?....The WTS would like you to believe that only a JW would be so honest. I sometimes wonder how many JW have found valuables and kept them.

My sister left a briefcase in a Hong Kong taxi a number of years ago. It contained a large contract which would be virtually impossible to replace.

She went to police with little hope. As she was filling out forms, the taxi driver walked in with her briefcase!

She was gobsmacked, as these guys are very poor and the briefcase alone was worth a lot of money.

After profuse thanks, she emptied her wallet US$1,000.....

    All happy

Lies! Damn lies!! We all know that only Jehovah's Witnesses are honest people and return lost item to their rightful owner!! Evidence indicates that this article must have been written by Satan the Devil to try and make it look as though worldly people are decent when we all know they're evil, evil, evil and not to be trusted.

But even if these people did return something, they're still part of Satan's world and will die at The Big A for not getting in 10 hours of knocking on doors.

Nah........can't be true! We all know that only JW's are honest.

From the sound of this guy's name, Haider Sediqi, he might be Muslim, Buddist or whatever. And we know that all professed Christians, Muslims, Buddist, etc. are from the debil.

Really, it is good to hear about honest people from a different perspective. Good go for this cabbie. It paid off in a nice way for him.

Hey you JW lurkers..........there are good people from all walks of life in case you are interested.

I think a more interesting poll would be

Would you have returned the case if it had contained $350 000 in cash?

Thruthseeker that is a heart warming story. I recently related a similiar story. I found an envelope with $75.00 with a Visa bill. I went to the bank and told the manager what happened. He called the husband at work and told him the situation. Instead of the husband thanking me, he was yelling and sceaming that his wife had lost the money and bill. Go figure!

Another incident, a bank teller gave me an additional $200.00 and after I told her to check the amount a couple of times, I finally had to tell her that she gave me tooooooo much money. It feels good to do the right thing, that's my reward.
