Have to admit. He upsets me very much!!! He defends the WT.... In our support group there are SO many that have lost Fathers, Mothers, Friends, Sisters, brothers, have lost self respect ( owing to the elders discription of them... ) I feel his defense of the Wt is a siding with false teaching.... Sorry if this offends all those who love DEFD- But I love him I dont like him- if he was here we could have a friendly discussion ( he refused to answer my question ages ago) I would love to introduce him to all those who have lost family owing to WT .I wouldnt be able to intoduce him the some who killed themselves !!!! Hoping they would get a resurrection be cause they died before Armegedon... ( another false teaching.
Must concur Grace. Those of us who spent decades in the WTS trenches only to find we had been fighting the wrong war, have some battle scars that don't sit well with those who never made that much investment and can easily dismiss what we say. He never answered mine either.

He started out maybe a little nervously, but has grown more candid and likeable as time has gone on. I think he's growing, as we all do (regardless of age), and he has my respect for the fact that he can. He doesn't always put things across too delicately, but that's possibly just part of his personality, and he does seem to be getting better. -

By GB standards, yes, he is an apostate simply because of association and his own questioning of elders judgement and behaviour. By dictionary standards, no.
Interestingly, it seems the men that relate best to DefD. I ditto Mouthy's opinion due to experience. In my opinion he has little respect for older women, and he was downright rude and abusive to Mouthy on more than one occasion.

One thing about it - if u want a long thread, just mention his moniker. Don't know why that is - but I have fallen victim to it too. Seems like everyone either loves the guy or hates him. I have swarn off his posts before, but I keep coming back. I too disdain his lack of respect to women in general. He attacked Grace as well as many other women here. For that I cannot garner respect, esp since he never apologizes to them with any sincerity.

Thank you for your responses... I will try to be more tolerant ---of him.! I dont mind his disrespect of me.
But I do mind his utter disregard of questions asked. If he truly was an apostate -he would admit it .... I too would have defended the Organization when I was kicked out. I had the black eyes to prove it...But I guess as the last poster implied --- He does need to learn a little respect for the aged & women.... Yes this site seems to be answered so often. I think it is for us to see he has finally see the light... Thanks to you last 4 posters Cant remember who they were That shows how old I am -

Ditto Brenda, Mouthy, and Jeff, defd seems to be more short and caustic to women on the board. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
