Erica, you have all of my respect. I add my thanks to the others here and am grateful that despite all odds and what sounds like poor representation, justice was done. It gives me more faith in the jury system. You have endured more than your share of sorrow; I wish you only happiness for the rest of your journey here on earth.

I've been out of town, and am just now catching up on the latest news. I followed you case closely, and although I was unable to make the trip to Ritzville, I was there with you in spirit.
Others have said this, but let me emphasize the importance of your courage. For every victim who speaks out, there are dozens - maybe hundreds - of others who cannot do so. Perhaps they lack the support or are not strong enough to face the ordeal of speaking of the most difficult period in their lives. The fact that you both came forward AND stuck it out to the rightful conclusion may give some other Silent Lamb the motivation and strength to do the same.
Now that you have seen justice done, may you continue to heal and grow, knowing in your heart that you may have helped people you will never meet just by your example.

Now it's time to consider the next step:
Sue the elders, the congregation and the Watchtower Society out of their trousers!
This win should be the first step, and the next and natural step to make the bastards pay for their actions. I believe the huge support for this guy will be a bit expensive for the elders, but then they hopefully will learn it's no joke protecting pedophile assholes! Hopefully they will learn to inform the police about them as well - instead of protecting the Organization on the expenses of the victims.
Let's hope they have to pay every dime they own, and the cong get bancrupt! That should make some other pedo-protectors be a bit nervous. And when the Society will have to start opening their bank-accounts for compensation, the whole world of the "happyest people in the world" can enjoy the happiness of starting special donations for their legal funds!

Hi Erica:
You have our deepest respect, as you can see from all the responses so far, and I know there are many more out there that agree silently too.
Not only were you the victim of the molester, someone considered a friend of your family, but you were once again victimized by your so-called friends in the WTS. That only added to our disgust in how an adult(s) can manipulate, control, overpower and destroy the innocence of a child and totally ignore the damage done to the happiness that child deserves.
We are so grateful you had the courage to stand up to, not only your molester, but to the people who should have been there for you, not him.
I am so glad you posted your response here, as our concern was not only that justice was served against the molester, but that you were helped by all the support you had, both first-hand and from all of us well-wishers behind the scenes, and that you could feel some relief finally at seeing him being held accountable for his crime and put away.
I wish I could hug you in person, but this {{{{HUG}}}} will have to do.
