I'm just speculating as is everyone else. Even though I know about the general overview of the announcement, I still do not know the finite details. I just like trying to come up with different scenarios and see if any of them will hit the target of the big news.

It's like one of those damn story puzzles where you have to figure out who traveled where, how fast, and what kind of kitchen utensil they ended up with at the end of the trip. It's extremely addictive.

One thing I've known for years, the only reason the WTS makes any changes is to save their legal corp.. The conscience doctrines,are only there to give the WTS a loophole out of a lawsuit. Loyal jws know this and don't use the "outs" Actually by using the "outs" provided, you will be looked upon as a potential opposer.(at least by the older jws) The clauses were invented lawyers. (as we all know) An elder told me this 25 years ago. They put "conscience clauses" into the things like blood, voting , serving in the armed forces,etc, only to stop lawsuits. Most 3rd generation and older JWS know this. They will even tell you this (if they trust you). They are not going to let anyone destroy "God's org. ".As more than one elder told me years ago, they are fighting back against apostates and all those who would seek to hurt them. That is why they won't come forward with a cofession and be truthful with the "sheep" about anything they have ever done wrong. They are not about to get hit with lawsuits from what they consider evil people who are just trying to hurt "Gods org."

The WTS isn't doing any damage control right now, because they have no idea what is coming. In fact, there are a couple of posts here already that prove they (the WTS) are completely clueless about this issue because they have verified their current stance, which is deadly. Their statements couldn't have been any more damaging to themselves. Makes me wonder if there are brothers in the Service Department who ARE aware of this and providing ammunition against the WTS.

Sunspot , i know what you're saying, but i don't feel strong enough at the moment to just leave for no "good" reason. Everytime i think of leaving everything behind, i start to feel really sick and anxious and it gets me down. The honest truth is: i'm afraid.

I was afraid too, when I found out what I had and was then deciding what to do with the information. I didn't tell anyone for weeks, and lived with it pulsating in my head every moment, asleep and awake. It was just horroble. The implications and ramifications were almost too much to deal with on my own. I SO understand your dilemma and your fears.

I was waiting for everyone to be asleep and searching the 'net for support and help with all this.....if someone had to get up to go past me to the bathroom---I'd switch off the page I was looking at and wait until they went back to bed again! I may have well been researching how to kill a family member or looking at porn, the way I was forced to hide what I WAS looking at! I just wasn't ready to discuss al this stuff until I had firmly set in my mind what I was going to do and how I was going to go about doing it.

In speaking to you---and seeing what *I* had experienced when my world fell apart---doesn't THIS tell us something about the sinister "hold" that this cult HAS on people? If we had decided to leave a Protestant denomination to join a Jewish temple.....would it have THIS kind of a negative impact on every corner of our LIVES, family and friends? Of course not.

We can readily see what this nasty organization is doing to the JWs every day---with its ridiculous "counsel" from God, touching every aspect of their personal interests and private lives. The longer the WTS lives, breathes and spreads its poison, the more strict they have become in these personal freedoms.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that there need not BE any fear of the WTS, whether they get taken down or not! They do not have any more "hold" or control over YOU---than you are willing to give them. They are (I admit) a powerful---but "man-made" pseudo-religion.....that WILL come to their "end" sooner or later. It is RUN by men (not God)........ the imperfect, lying, conniving and very unchristian and controlling men....whose time has come.
