This was changed some years back to 'sanctification'.
Reason: no human can 'vindicate' the name of the Almighty God. It doesn't need vindicating. He's quite capable of looking after His own name. Things like that.
It's all in the wording. What else would you expect from OT Pharisees?

If the WBTS didn't use the deceptive style writing, then they would not be a multi-billion dollar business today. They use whatever means they can to save the business. Afterall, it is the members who got them where they are today. A loss of members means a loss of money.
