Does everyone here know they are on record with JW's forever?

Do they track faders or "inactive" jws? The congregation you last attended is supposed to keep your card and the CO looks at them. That's how they make up the list of jws for the CO to call on. If you have moved you can stay under the radar. Does the congregation send the info on the inactive, not that I have ever heard of. They would need more storage than I can imagine.

If an inactive publisher moves and the former elders find out which congregation the person moved to, they'll forward the address and name of the person to the new local congregation elders to make a call on the inactive and "discern" their situation. That's the usual procedure from what was practiced in the BOE when I was an elder.

I reckon with all the abuse cases going on they will be tracking all-right - but the records will be scrambled up with millions of other records right? which will take years to access?

In our case [wife and I ] we reckon the new wave of treatment of inactive faders is to drop them completely and leave them alone and not to visit or have contact at all will them. "Leave the 1 behind and go after the 99" as they are still "givers" $$$$ and are still Pawn-able material.

Recalling the congregation box of Publishers Records, there was a compartment specifically for the In-actives and Irregulars and those record cards were never discarded.

Man, that would be one damn big long list!!! Don't let it get into the wrong hands.

Did they say how far back in time it extends? Rutherford alone drove gazillions out of the organization in his day.

I knew a local Witness who was disfellowshipped on 3 separate occasions - which always made me feel good because at least I was disfellowshipped only once. Would she be listed three times or is there a separate column that counts the number of times?

Oh, and would they also have a column that categorizes the sins that remain unrepented? I would deplore such a column but sneak a peak if I could.

And perhaps a column that indicates whether they tried to come back and/ or whether they got back in. Fascinating.

I'd like there to be another column that predicted the odds of returning. They've been hopeless at predicting everything else so I don't think they'd expose themselves to further ridicule from getting even that wrong.

Personally, I'd be proud to be on a list that includes Ray Franz and Ed Dunlap - although those two fine gentlemen would likely not wish to be on a list that included me.

The last congregation I attended was Brooklyn Heights at HQ. I doubt they thought enough of me to know who I was - I think you can forget a paper trail. It was hard to even make eye contact with those people. That was the strangest congregation - ever.

Funny...when I got visited last year in response to a letter of explanation I demanded of the elders, their parting admonishment was, "And don't go to any apostate websites" - which was a complete non sequitur from anything in our (mostly respectful) 15 minute conversation.

If any elder ever said that to me I would do the opposite of anything they say. Anytime anyone says the words don't, shouldn't, can't they are trying to control. I have had enough of this garbage. Like someone else said on here I could really care less of what they think about me.

Don't worry about it. The database is far too complicated to be able to sort out a list of pedos (according the the WT testimony). I am sure the info on faders, DF/DA etc. must be even harder to find.

In the UK we have strict laws on Data protection. You can use the link below if you are in the UK and want to find what data the WTs has on you.

    Data protection

There is stronger legal protection for more sensitive information such as

    • ethnic background
    • political opinions
    • religious beliefs
    • health
    • sexual health
    • criminal records

And as our data protection law in the UK is based on the EU data protection directive, there will be similar rights in other EU countries. Will also be interesting to see what happens when it's all replaced with the apparently stronger new European Data Protection Regulation (if the respective countries can stop arguing and just get on with it).
