Uh Oh Flashback time......... several sisters in an old KH I attended never had kids because of Knorr and Rutherford, one of the great heartaches in their lives. I still have my 'Children' book given me by my grandmother.

Glad my kids went to college, really glad for my little grandson. You could divide old and new friends like parting the Red Sea.

Need to sit and watch the sunrise and sip some freshly brewed coffee Aahhh that's better

I think that the tittle "Judge" tends to give subliminal support to his being able to render judgements. It made it easier to accept them as if her were one of the "judges" sent to save Israel by Jehovah. Just a guess. W.Once

Great observation WaE. I have always thought that the name "Judge" subliminally gave creedence to his words. Very interesting. Wonder if he had this "name" prior to moving up in the JW ranks?

    He didn't.

It would have been both pompous and unprofessional of Rutherford to have used the title "Judge" when he was practicing law.

Other lawyers who acted as a substitute when the regular judge was unable to hold court did not take on the title "Judge" for life.

Wasn't it also at the 1941 St. Louis convention that eyewitnesses reported that Da Judge was so drunk, he had to be helped up to the podium?

We know that "The Judge" liked his alcoholic beverages, but could the extra help to get to the podium have be required due to the effects of the cancer on Rutherford that eventually killed him in 1942?

This is the talk in which Judge Rutherford refers to women as a "stack of bones and hank of hair"!

"Why, then, should a man who has the prospect before him of being of the great multitude now tie himself up to a stack of bones and hank of hair?"
