Minor flooding in my backyard, nothing bad so far...

There's been minor flooding up here in Oregon too, but nothing too threatening to our house. It depends on where you live.

Of course, having beachfront property could raise our property values.

Only thing I worry about is this oak tree that overhangs the master bedroom and one of the other bathrooms. The tree is leaning too, towards the house. Lots of rain makes the roots loose, you know?

I've been watching CNN and it looks horrible!

I'm glad you two are ok. Being concerned about the tree is certainly understandable!

Ukiah is fine now. There are a few places closed because of no power, I saw a bunch of sticks and garbage on the road from a creek that overflowed last night, but otherwise, Ukiah is fine. I haven't checked the highways though.

the news just flashed on a pic of 80 around Fairfield - the traffic is down to 1 lane and it's a royal mess! Wonder what effect all this flooding will have on New Years plans? It's supposed to clear up around Tuesday so here's to sunny days...

I live in Sonoma County and I drove up to see the Russian River at Healdsburg earlier today. You should have seen the people there looking at the swollen river - probably in the hundreds. I took a few pictures with my phone, but I have no idea how to post them. Although the river in Healdsburg was above flood stage, it didn't actually cause flooding in Healdsburg. Guervneville is the place I would not want to be!

The rain and wind were bad last night -- I even brought our outdoor cats inside and let them sleep in the garage. They were quite happy! There is blue sky outside right now, but we expect another storm tomorrow.

Lots of road closures around the area, but where I live we are high and dry. Thanks for asking lonelysheep.

I saw those pictures too sammielee. Glad I am not trying to get up to Tahoe. That road is normally a nightmare - I can't even imagine what it is like now.
