Jehovahs Bigmouth Witnesses as we know......preach that salvation APART from THEM isn't possible.

Evidently, all earnest bible believers had no hope untill Jehovahs Organisation showed up to lead them there. They actually believe they alone are gods instuctors and that ALL mankind should learn through them alone.

One has to wonder....since Jehovah had no VISABLE organisation for nearly two thousand years.....how were christs diciples to benefit?

Watchtower 2001 February 15 p.14 Jehovah's Day of Judgment Is Near!

In fact, with God's day of judgment so near today, all the world should 'keep silent before the Sovereign Lord Jehovah' and hear what he says through the "little flock" of Jesus' anointed followers and their companions, his "other sheep." (Luke 12:32; John 10:16) Annihilation awaits all who will not listen and who thereby set themselves against rule by God's Kingdom.--Psalm 2:1, 2.

    You Can live Forever (1982, 1990) p.255

Do not conclude that there are different roads, or ways, that you can follow to gain life in God's new system. There is only one. …..... You must be part of Jehovah's organization, doing God's will, in order to receive his blessing of everlasting life…

Quite right Gumby. What did happen to his organisation from then till the 1900's??? Simple answer there wasnt one. If there had of been how come Russell did not come in contact with it but branched out on his own taking the idea's of the adventists.

Yeah, Grumbles, i wonder how many cults have said the same thing to their members!

Ya know, when they come out with stuff like that, it's not to put 'the public' on notice, it's really designed for the R&F - to keep them "in loyal submission". (Remember that Kingdumb song?)

    Cheers, ozzie (still underneath ya!)

    Hi Gumby,

Just to sharpen the paradox, note how all the "possible true Christians" which the WT suggests as exceptions in the meantime (Arius, Pierre Valdo, Jan Hus, Tyndale, even Luther sometimes) are consistently presented as rebels to, or apostate from the church organisation supposedly founded by the apostles.

And the Watchtower has already been having over twice the lifetime allotted to the so-called "pure apostolic age"...

This is the foundation that ones who wants to help Jehovahs Witnesses out of the cult should build on. This is the best argument one can use and is the easiest to prove. It's too bad most who want to refute JW teachings......start with doctrinal issues which usually end nowhere. This one one of the strongest points that led me out.

    Ozmeister,

Ya know, when they come out with stuff like that, it's not to put 'the public' on notice, it's really designed for the R&F

Which is true of much of what they print. Just like they said "the nations became wrathful" when Jesus took over rulership in 1914. Not one person on this planet was aware of this wacko teaching other than a dub.........let alone "the nations".

    Narkster,

note how all the "possible true Christians" which the WT suggests as exceptions in the meantime (Arius, Pierre Valdo, Jan Hus, Tyndale, even Luther

    Lets not forget the Waldensenes!

The Watchtower double speaks with these groups. They are rebels,.......or possible early true christians(the slave in an unlightened state), etc. Depends on the context they want to favor.

Makes you wonder, who does ordinary Joe JW think kept printing and distributing bibles, manuscripts etc for all those thousands of years?

Personally, I don't believe that the bible remained unscathed in its translations, and believe it was fiddled with for all those years to get whatever interpretation you might want, but wasn't it the major religions of the world that kept the Bible going and took out bits they didn't want, apocrypha, gnostic scriptures etc.

But, ordinary Joe JW knows NOTHING of these things or the history of the Bible etc and everything gets twisted by the GB to suit their angle. My mother nearly had a fit, I'm not kidding on this, but she went gaga when I tried to show her the apocrypha etc.

So only the Witnesses have Salvation?! Sadly, this suits the kind of stupid people who chose to remain JWs simply from belief and not from wishing not to lose loved ones. It's so easy to dismiss generations upon generations of humanity as useless dross and see yourself as special simply because the book publishing company you worship tells you so.

Sometimes the whole JW thing, WTBTS etc just makes me want to scream!!!
